Require custome profile fields at registration

Is it possible (better would be within reason to work within vBulletin) to require a user to enter values for custome profile fiels (such as first and last name) at registration?

What would be the easiest method to implement such an option?

Go to Admin CP >>> User Profile Fields >>> Add New User Profile Field >>> choose a Profile Field Type and click Continue.

Edit everything you want to do and click Save.
