Reputation System

How do I get the reputation system set up to add/subtract ONE point each time you approve/disapprove someone? Right now, mine is.......................on crack, lol. It adds like...........1000 points each time you hit approve. Can someone help please?

I really don't understand this system and I think about disabling it :D
