How do I remove the nav bar and others totally?
Im trying to modify a part of my site to look more like news articles than threads.
Example: http://www.streethop.com/forum/article.php?t=151704 I want to remove the following bits: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/ Plus at the bottom Id like to remove the rules and forum jump. What files/templates do I need to edit? |
which article system, which vb?
|
Im not running any articles system, Ive just renamed showthread.php to articles.php, so if there are file edits they need to apply to showthread.php

find $header, $navbar, $forumrules, $forumjump, $footer and comment each out, i.e. add <!-- before and --> after each string. in other words, find $header and replace with <!--$header-->, etc. etc. let me know if it works. |

Code:
$stylevar[htmldoctype] http://www.streethop.com/forum/showthread.php?t=151704 Its a child style, maybe that has some effect? |
The quick and dirty method which I revmove the nav bar from certain pages, is to remove the following line from the script you don't want it showing in:
Code:
eval('$navbar = "' . fetch_template('navbar') . '";'); and then remove $navbar from the template, just be be double sure. I've never had any problems doing it that way. |

Ok well Ive done this: http://www.streethop.com/forum/article.php?p=387280 Ive also removed the quick reply as it stretched the template. Last thing I think, how do I make it so that similar threads pulls from a specific forum and not the whole board, but only in one of the forums. Also, how do I set it so that one of the forums displays threads by creation date, newest at the top? |
