In this 2 days we learned that one turkish forum's (forumtr dot com) licenses (they said that they had 4 licences) had been canceled without any information.. Let us know that if it is true. They are announcing this everywhere and we turk forums worrying about this.. as i said let us know the reason of cancelation..
i think it can't be possible but we want to know reason :)
Sorry about my english and if here is wrong place for this topic :D

As Scott said,

Should be reason enough, honestly.

we guessed the violation but i can't understand if they had 4 licences.. why a forum buy 4 licences?
And as i said they are announcing this everywhere.. i think vb have to explain more things about this forum.. Because turkish forums which using vb worried very much, and me too :)

Edit: they are announcing that the cancelation reason is only about they are turks.. please understand our doubt..

I don't think they need to explain anything, seems to me that someone broke the licence terms, got caught, and shutdown. Why would anyone else be worried, unless they too are violating their licence ?

I honestly doubt the license was terminated was because they were turks. Jelsoft will not disclose the reasons, as that is a violation of their Privacy Policy. If Jelsoft/vBulletin terminated a license, it was because there was a violation of the user agreement on the customer's end, that's all. As long as you are not violating the use of vBulletin, you have nothing to worry about.

I disagree. I think a reason should be provided any time you take something that has been paid for. I am assuming that jelsoft did not contact the owner of the licenses about why they shut them down. If they did, then that is one thing. If Jelsoft just up and cancelled the licence without reason or rationale then that is cause for suit, in my opinion. Not everyone is going to be satisfied with elitist mutterings and will put up a fight for what they paid for.

Regardless of your opinion on the matter, it is now a legal issue between Jelsoft and the parties in question. I can unofficially assure you that Jelsoft is not in the business of running around revoking licenses only because of the license's country of origin.

I am 100% sure that Jelosft have provided the reason (and probably after a few mails) to the license holder. It is of nobody elses business what that reason is. This is something between Jelsoft and the license holder.

Please provide a link to where Jelsoft announces that the license was canceled because it was used by Turks. Afaik it was canceled because the license agreement was broken, so unless you find in the license agreement a sentence that say that vBulletin can not be used by Turks, i am afraid you are wrong and maybe someone caught is trying to spread rumours.
