How in the world do you update $searchbits ??
 
I can modify the templates to change everything about the Search Results Page except for the content that is actually found!

the search_results template makes a call to $searchbits ... but as far as I can tell there is no such thing!

the search_results_postbit template does absolutely nothing as far as i can tell. i actually removed all of the code inside the template, and nothing changed in my search results!

this is driving me up the wall. is this information that can only be changed in search.php or something? Gah! i will adore anyone who can help me with this.

When you edit the 'threadsbits' template you're editing $searchbits
