v3arcade Champion(s)
 

This is a port of the v3arcade addon previously known as "Arcade King".

It is now fully phrased and includes an additional setting to turn the feature off and on. I renamed it to "Arcade Champion" because a couple of my female members complained that king was sexist.. ;)

Custom hooks aren't yet integrated with v3arcade, though the foundations are there.

Hopefully this will be done before the "final" version of v3arcade is released.. :)

Version Update: [high]1.1[/high]
* Champion text no longer links to arcade leader board by default.
* Users in $mhsarray are now linked to their relative profiles.
* Removed king2.gif, all users in $mhsarray are champions - so give them all gold!

So to upgrade we just need to re-import the XML?

You'll need to re-do the arcade.php file and arcade_main template edits again also, these were both changed for 1.1.. The only thing that has changed with the .xml file is the version number.

Alright... I'll just stick with 1.0 then. :)

figured it out. Removed this
from the template and it solved it. Anything wront with doing this?

np. I'm guessing we'll have to remove the same thing for "champion(s)" as well..or champs, whatever it is...but I don't have multiple champs at the moment, so I haven't seen the error.

No, but it only happened in the first place because it looks like you forgot to upload the image king1.gif ;)

FireFox displays the alt text instead of the common red x that would be seen in IE.

That would pretty much use the same code as the Leader Board addon.. ;)

One thing I would like to see is a page that shows all the games the champion has won. That's what I feel should be shown when clicking on the the name of the champion instead of going to the users profile information. This goes for the leaderboard hack, too. Just personal preference.

I installed it and it's working fine..nice hack! but my users requesting that they want to see top 3 instead of a single topper! can I add three champions on the arcade index?
