Most ever Members & Guests
This modification is no longer available or supported. Warning: Do not run this vb 3.5 version on a vb 3.6 forum. Adds a split 'most ever' members & guests count to the active users dsiplay. Just download the product XML file and import using the Product Manager. Note: Obviously it will only count from the time you install it, neither it nor I can see backwards in time. History: v2.02 : First Release. v2.03 : Changed logic of IF statement. v2.04 : Minor changes, no update necessary. |
Quite nice, although a little unneccessary IMO. :)

Schweet, thank you for releasing this.! :D
PM me your paypal address so that I can send you some beer money, as I said I would. Quote:

Nice one, looks a bit weird thou as my top online users was 747.
I take it it starts from the moment you install... nice thou |

One small suggestion would be to change your two "<=" conditions to just "<". Since essentially, the 'record' isn't being beaten and is just equalled this would save on resources for smaller boards because updating the datastore runs an additional query.. |

Could you make this so that spiders are excluded?
|
Sorry, I have no plans to do that.

Since he edited his post rather than post a new reply, I didn't see it until now. It's a very minor thing that no one will ever really notice (it's how the main vb code works ;)) - however, I will change it, and upload v2.03 later (in fact, I'll reverse the whole logic of that IF, since IMO it's backwads atm). |
Especially because I'm a dumbass and thought that this plugin did something it doesn't.
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....5&postcount=13 Paul, my suggestion applies to the other plugin also.. :) |

GREAT! Thanks Paul :D

Is there a way to add the text "The most ever members online was 8, 11-06-2005 at 07:17 PM. The most ever guests online was 20, 11-07-2005 at 07:24 AM." after the default text "Most users ever online was 21, 11-08-2005 at 08:25 PM."? I don't like how it shows on the bottom under the users.
|
You would need to edit the plugin code to do that. It would be a rather long line .....
|
Paul, would there be a way to get this to count spiders, too? ;)

How can the two stats be on two separate lines instead of the one, it would look tidier I think.

perfect, and a quick reply :)
thank you very much |
Thanks for the mod, Paul M.
For me the most users online stat was a bit useless and I'd much prefer to know the most members online. Is there no way to backdate it? |
Not unless you build a time machine. :)
|
I did see your initial comments, but I wasn't sure if the database kept track of it or not, as it always displays the current members and guests.
Thanks. |
A word of warning - if you upgrade your forum to vb 3.6 then disable this modification before you upgrade, and then upgrade it to the 3.6 version after you have finished, then re-enable it - running this 3.5 version on a 3.6 forum can break your most users/visitors etc statistics.
