vBadvanced Gallery - Send a pic to my mobile
 

Want to make money from your gallery? with my hack, you can allow users to download images to their mobile, this is in conjuction with a major sms provider who can pay you via paypal per month on usage! They also support most of the world's networks so anyone can use it!

It takes about 15 minutes to set up, only includes 2 template edits & one phrase!

I ASSUME THIS WILL WORK ON ANY VERSION OF VB AS YOUR NOT EDITING VB TEMPLATES, YOUR ACTUALLY EDITING VBADVANCED GALLERY TEMPLATES.

This should also work on all versions of the gallery.

This is my first ever hack, so please be patient...

Sign up to the sms provider giving your details and payment methods, click here to sign up to them! Be sure to make a note of the account name you chose.

Download the install.txt and have fun...

...oh and yes that is me in the pic! :P

Bug
A known bug is if you have watermarks done on the fly, the hack will not work.

Remember to hit install!

I don't have vBadvanced gallery, so it would be useless to me. But, it seems like you had some fun at the Olympia place aye?

Please also note, im working on a paid subscription via sms hack as we speak... so all members that are signed up with the sms provider can use that 2!!

It will be exactly the same as the current paid subscription but it will allow people to pay via sms, phone, credit card and more..

how much does it cost to send the images to the phone? and what do we get back from it?

can we get ringtones downloaded to a mobile phone with this? if so please post how 2. thank you

Its up to you, you choose the price, there is a tarrif when you sign up of how much you make!Yes you can, all instructions are on the site when you sign up!It should work on any version of vb as its not vb templates your mod'n, its the gallery templates!

Works fine on the Category display, but that occurs on both of the showimage ones.

im not sure why that it, check back on your work, SnowBot has just installed it on vBadvanced Gallery v1.0.1 (vB 3.5)

Ok i noticed a small bug which i have just fixed and updated my install.

If you have already added my previous install, change the following:

In adv_gallery_imagebit template edits you did, you added:

Change it to:

and in ADV_GALLERY_SHOWIMAGE template edits you did, you added (twice):

change that to:

If a user has a long description or has characters in the title etc, its pulling a error so the caption has been changed. This will also fix kall's ealier bug :cool:

Anyone else getting an error mPush side?

Once I get the pop up the first screen is fine, and the image shows up in the preview, but then when I click Continue the image is black on the second screen and Im getting the following error at the top:

..looking further into it, i notice your code generates the following link:

but yet on my site, it generates:

Mine pulls the actual image (.jpg) or whatever it is, yours doesn't, i assume this might be because of a setting like save to server or something, can anyone help with this?

...as i said, im not a coder, this is my first hack, even though it doesn't pull the actual file, it still works fine for me on both sites but your saying you get the error, im not sure what that could be!

ok looking deeper into it, its nothing to do with the settings... its funny coz it works for everyone else... there are nearly 10 people using this now... even though only 4 clicked install!

Nope. Doesn't fix it for my bug at all. This image has no description... some do, they also dont work.

I am. That could be the issue..

I just tested it, the problem is the water marks, it works fine without watermarks but ++++s up with them. Does anyone want to try pernament watermarks and see if that works? I dont want to pernamently watermark the images if its not going to fix the problem, and even then Im not sure if i want to do it.

Now that we know the reason for the error, anyway to fix it?

A question, is there a list of mobile operators which are supported in this service? I cant find the list.

The only supported provider is the one i have listed, once the hack is added, you can see the countries supported on the pop up... they support most countries of the world.

B.t.w. this sms provider keeps more than 50 percents, seems al lot to me.
