Anyone fancy having a go at a new VBpetz for 3.5? Not got the ability to do it myself but I recon there`s some good scope for change in the current one for vb3

Anyone up to the challenge?

I don't fancy porting it over myself, but if anyone else does, my members will love you for ever! You'd not believe how many complaints I've had about their petz vanishing overnight. I've even been accused of pet-napping them!!!!

Yeh my members have been upset that their "online virtual pets" deserted them overnight!... some of them won many battles...so got quite afew complaints...please release 3.5 version... It would be much appreciated.

I agree, I've tried to make sense of it and put it in 3.5 but I am just not smart enough! I'd looooove to have this for 3.5!!

I was going to do it, but my members told me not to bother, they're bored with the petz. So, I won't be tackling this one.

I wish my members were as care-free. My members are going mad that the petz have gone. I had no idea they were so popular.

You mean there is more than one version of petz available? I would be happy with just A version of petz for 3.5 at all.
I intended to make everyone start off fresh anyways, as some of the older petz are too powerful for anyone to battle at all anymore. Give everyone a clean slate, so to speak.

Ill see if i can get rights to port the old one w/o all the "new" stuff from his new Ver. If people want all the new stuff from his new hack "they" will buy it.

I went and looked too, I think perhaps you are mistaken. It looks to me as tho he plans to charge for p3tz v3. VBpetz still uses version 2, so hopefully the port to 3.5 will remain free as well. Crossing my digits anywayz. :nervous:

Of course free is better, but when a person works their tales off writing this stuff it's nice they get something in return. I know I hate to work for free. ;) I wouldn't mind paying a fee if it's easy to use, and spec-freakin-tacular. :lol:

Anyone fancy havin a go at a complete re-write? I`m sure the possibility for this hack is excellent for someone with some flash knowledge along with php/sql and vbull knowledge

What other pets hacks are there? Are any of them ported to 3.5 yet?
Man this is killing me, I want to upgrade to 3.5 very much, but I just can't lose the pets.
It is my member's favorite past time, they are very into it.
I am to the point where I would be willing to pay a reasonable fee to anyone willing to port petz to 3.5, just so I can upgrade.

It's more than writing a new one that's holding me back. Manners dictate we can't release a port of somebody else's mod without permission. And, writing it from scratch would entail creating my own graphics, which I have NO desire to do.

I have a lot of the convert done. There are some grey areas I'll need to read up on.

ya could always just leave the pets empty and allow the installer to find there own pet graphics though
