Default Avatar

Self Explanatory.

Will showup on the member.php page and in the postbit / postbit_legacy

default path is

You can modify this by editing the two plugins.

I even took the time to make you guys a noavatar.gif file :)

TygerTyger 10-04-2005 10:27 AM

Good job, works well. Be nice to have the default avatar show up in memberlist.php as well, it's just a blank space where the avatar should be when viewing the page at the moment.

Neutral Singh 10-04-2005 11:16 AM

Sweet !! Thanks :)

Whats the hook location

:tired: Hook Location This specifies the location within the vBulletin code of the hook that will fire this plugin function.

How do you know which plug in uses what :surprised:

C_P 10-04-2005 05:05 PM

Good question. New to the plug in arena and could a FAQ's of these plug in's be available for plug in newbies added here?

I think it is pretty easy as you just select the Plugin System and select to Import Plugin Definitions XML File from download and if additional files are included, upload those to path specified by developer of plugin. If I am not mistaken?

I think so, I think for a plug in you select plug in manager enter the code from the xml file, enter your title and select location of HOOK..

I've tried this one and nothing is happening :glasses:

Edit: I Think you add it in 2 places see the code, it tells you the name of where you put the plugins.. off to try again :nervous:

Bounce 10-04-2005 05:33 PM

Maybe not lol

R1D1 10-04-2005 05:41 PM

Ignignokt 10-04-2005 07:39 PM

Doesn't say anything about the membmers list does it? :)

Ignignokt 10-04-2005 08:18 PM

I am good at reading... member.php != memberlist.php

hivelord 10-05-2005 01:46 AM

You don't "Add" the plugin, you import it. Upload it to your server. You shouldn't need to edit any details yourself.

csidlernet 10-05-2005 02:52 AM

thankyouverymuch!
/me installs

Michael2 10-05-2005 03:35 PM

Works great, thanks!

C_P 10-05-2005 03:53 PM

I clicked Install as well! Works like a charm. I guess my steps of " think it is pretty easy as you just select the Plugin System and select to Import Plugin Definitions XML File from download and if additional files are included, upload those to path specified by developer of plugin. If I am not mistaken?" should be all you need for this one.

vietkool 10-06-2005 08:56 PM

works great !!! easy too, just import the XML file and upload the avatar.gif

thanks

wacodep 10-07-2005 03:07 AM

I originally thought about it and passed on it for two reasons.

1. I wasn't sure if it was actually possible for alot of reasons.
2. I was lazy.

Snake 10-07-2005 08:17 PM

That means the image path is broken. Make sure you have uploaded to the right folder / directory.

Sounds like a great idea - I presume it would be easy to randomly assign an avatar from a predefined set?

Now that could be additionally useful... :)
