GAS to reach DOUBLE this time next week!
<a href="http://money.cnn.com/2005/09/21/news/economy/rita_threat/index.htm" target="_blank">http://money.cnn.com/2005/09/21/news...reat/index.htm</a>
After Katrina, gas went up to nearly $3.50 per gallon here, it has slowly made its way back down to $2.49! But it'll nearly double next week, up to $5.00! |
Oh great media hype... because everyone is told it's going to happen and it's hyped by the media it's going to happen because oil companies just can't hurt to go with the flow....
|
As Dan said, the media are just making this situation worse because it will then look okay if oil companies raise the price.

I've been here too long..... seeing gas in all capitals like that I took "GAS" to be the "Geek Article System" hack. :p

I also admit to thinking this was about the Geek Article System :p
As for actual gas prices, well... I guess the days when gas was less than $3 might be something we'd tell future generations...heh. |

We've settled down quite a bit and the prices are now under $3.00 for regular -- I think it's around $2.79-$2.80. If they do choose to double it, I'll be hitting the bike :). |
I read the thread title and was about to recommend cutting down on beans and gassy drinks...
