Why vbulletin germany?

Purely out of curiosity, why is there a vBulletin Germany? Is there that much of a demand there?

...and why not vBulletin France?

It's probably the combination of a demand and a dedicated team to run the place. France might have the same demand, but no team to run a official seperate site.

Well also, isnt quite a percentage of people who own licenses/develop vBulletin live around there?

I didn't mean it that way, he is asking something related to Jelsoft as a company. I mean that he would more likely get an offical responce from a (vB.com) staff member there, because honestly they are the only ones that would know. :)

yes, that we are..well..im a silly little-time coder maybe? :p

And Brad is right, you're more likely to find out exactly why some countries don't have their own official support sites from vbulletin.com.

Isn't Jelsoft based in the UK? Therefore, a vBulletin-UK is redundant. How about vBulletin-US or vBulletin-Canada?

I'm gonna start vBulletin Deceased, But I guess I wouldn't get many members!

Onimua 10-22-2005 10:03 AM

Hm... speaking of this... why doesn't Jelsoft.com have a site instead of redirecting to vbulletin.com?

That was you could go to jelsoft.com and ask there instead of vbulletin.com. :p

This may have something to do with what I read on another thread. Remember when you install hacks there is no guarantee that they will not create security holes and vB cannot be help responsible for other peoples hacks, giving support for 3rd party mods. Which might bre why there is no official vB hacking section over at vB as such.

But one question that begs to be asked, why does vB not have other official language boards other than English over aon there site. Example here would be why have a separate German site when you could have simply created a German language board section at vB to cover this from one site.

Chris M 10-22-2005 06:29 PM

Then the board would become enormous, with cross-language confusion between english people and german people not being able to understand each other ;)

Also: Onimua asked why jelsoft.com redirects to vBulletin.com, not .org ;) While your reasoning for why Hacks are here and not there is somewhat valid, you mis-read his question :p
