Vbleague in the works for VB 3.0.7
 

Hi all

i have started to make a league addon to vb.
I have already done alot of the coding for this.
Most of the user area is done still have to make the tournaments and team signup and the report a lose.
I still have most of the admin area to do too.
This league will be able to use the ucash/ushop for signing up to the league
and making of teams.

I have added some screen shots here but this is not finished and there is still alot to do.

Thats all i can say on this at this time watch this space for more on this.

You need to upload a file or something here. We can't hold threads open with nothing attached to them.

this will be done soon so for now could you move this then to a place where people can talk about it and let me know what they think.

Hi all again

More updates i have now added make a team and join a team.
Also if you are in a team it will not let you join another team and if you are a maker of a team you cannot make another.
Im working on the tournaments side now so that users can view the tournament.

Then the hard work of sorting out the admincp area for managing the league.
There will also be a team manager for making toruanments too.
But this might be in a later release.

This is my first major hack for vb and i want to do a good job on it.

Hi all again

I have now finished the users areas there is.

League main page / top winners / player stats / league news / tournaments / league signup / league resign / view teams / make a team / join a team / join a tournament

In the top winners the admin sets it to how many he/she wants to show.

Players stats this will show the players win streak lossing streak wins in a row losses in a row rank rating.

League news will let the admin put up news on the next tournament coming.

Tournaments In here you will see all the tournaments that are made be able to view all the players in the tournament and join a tournament.

League signup This is simple as you need to be a member of the site before you can signup in the league.

Resign This lets you resign from the league it also removes any teams you have made and any tournaments you have signed up for.

View teams this lets you view the teams that other members have made.

Join a team this is what it is click this to join a team you can only join a team once it will not let you join more than one team.

I will be working on the admin area for the next few days and will post more updates as they happen.

Hi all

Most of the admin side of things for the tournaments and players are finished now.
The next step is to sort out the admin of the teams and the team players.
And sort out the install script for the league.
When all this is done i would like 5 sites for beta testing, so if you would like to be a beta tester of this league management for vbulletin please let me know by PM'ing me here.

Im hoping to have a beta test out with in the next week or 2 fingers crossed.

I have made yet more changes.
I have added a link in the view tournaments for a tournament forum to be added when making tournaments.
Also in the view teams i have added a link to view all the team members of that team.

I have done the install script now for the installing of the league.
I need to sort out the rank now thats not easy for me lol.
Then all i need to sort out is the read me files on how to run the league and set it up.

Just to let you know i have now done the report a win and confirm a lose for the tournaments.

I just need to sort out the ranks and this will be ready for beta release

To a limited few sites

i seriously cant wait for this :D

Im hoping it want be to much longer now.
All i have to do is sort out the ranking system and the install file.
Then do a read me file on how to use the league.

If any one knows of a good way of making a rank system please post here and i may use it.
If any one comes up with a way of doing this they will get a copy of the league before it is released to everyone.

Ok all

I have now sorted the ranks for the players it auto updates.
And the admin can manuly update the ranks too.
Working on the rules page next and then working on the install script a bit more.
The install script is 80% done just got to add a few more themplates and phrases to it.
There will also be more stats for the teams so if you made a tournament for teams to play in then the players stats would still go up and the team stats would go up too.

Im hoping this will be in some beta sites soon.

Could this league plugin be used for controlling a fantasy Formula 1 or football league ? Or is it for only playing against each other ?
