Jump to Your Last Post in a Thread
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Plugin title: Jump to Your Last Post in a Thread Author: M1th Site: http://www.cosforums.com Plugin Version: 1.5 for vBulletin 3.5 RCX For vB 3.0.x version see this thread. For vB 3.5 Hack Version 1.0 see this thread. For vB 3.6.x version please see this thread. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What this does: In huge threads, having to search through pages and pages for your last post is a pain in the neck so I've decided to put an end to this with my simple plugin. Assuming that a user has posted in a thread, when the icon is clicked (displayed on forum display, next to the attachment/sticky icons) it'll lead the user to their latest post. ------------------- Installation time: No more than 3 minutes I'd say. Files to edit: 1 (none) Templates to edit: 1 (threadbit) Images to add: 1 (lastupost.gif - https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...chmentid=34387) Screenshot: ---------------- https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...chmentid=34389 Support -------------- Not a big plugin to have support for, but if you have any questions/problems, then sure. :) Installed this plugin? Then please click INSTALL. |
Where is the difference to https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=94735 ?
If it's the same please let me know so we can merge both Threads. |
This is the plugin version of the original code mod (other thread).
You can merge/delete the other if you wish. |
Could you zip the 2 files together for easier downloading? ;)
|
Sure thing. :)
|
Thanks m8, nice update!
|
I installed it (or am going to shortly) but I linked the thread_dot.gif image instead and it is there only for threads you have posts in. Makes it a little cleaner look. ;)
Well, I finally got it figured out. Let me know if you want the change for it as it was a bear to get just right. It was easy once I figured out how I wanted to do it. ;)
|
Excellent, I've been waiting for this one.!
Cheers M1th.. :D |
/me blows Boofo a great big kiss
Thank you!! |
And I also expect a Christmas card this year. ;)
|
[high]* Samira laughs out loud!
[/high] Send me the address, I'll add ya to my list. ;) |
I'm gonna hold you to that because I just cleaned off a whole wall for that card (the only one I will probably get). ;)
|
I'll watch my PMs then. Wouldn't want you to get no cards after being so nice! :D
|
It was my pleasure. ;)
|
Works great in 3.5.0!
I've been trying to figure out how to fix my little clock mod. It works fine except for the search/new post part where it shows on every thread. I'm wondering if that code could be modified to work on this as well? threadbit code for clock.. PHP Code:
|
|
Quote:
If so, wrap the clock code around HTML Code:
<if condition="$thread['dot_count'] AND $bbuserinfo['userid']"> |
no, I'm trying to get the clock not to show for the time conditional.
I may have to just modify the search.php. :ermm: |
Must have missed this. Good idea, I will install this when I upgrade.
/me clicks install |
Ooo, nifty little tool :D
And thanks Boofo for the alternative template bit there :) |
This nice hack doesn't work with vB 3.6.
|
Thanks to Paul M this hack works with vB 3.6 too.
TXT file with instructions on how to install this hack on vB 3.6 attached below. |
CAN THIS BE MADE TO WORK IN the newest ver of VB???
|
I did do the addition in the threadbit template as told to do but did not load the XML and it appears to be working on my site. Will that fly? Seems to be working!
