vBulletin.org German sister site: vbhacks-germany.com
There is now an official german sister site for vBulletin.org:
www.vbhacks-germany.com All users are confirmed as license holders before they can download hacks from this official site. Once vBulletin.org upgrades to vBulletin 3.5 we will be adding a field for hack authors to tick to give permission for their hacks to be translated to German for this site. :) Update August 2007: www.vbhacks-germany.com is no longer the official German Modification website. |
That's great news, I've posted this announcement on the vB Fans Network web sites :)
Good luck German hackers! |
Hy my Friends,
Big Thanx and good Luck for both Projects. Greets Snyper & Esposito + Willy vbhacks-germany Administrators |
Hello Teamer, thank you for your Announcement and i hope we have a god Co-Operation! :)

Great news for our German Freinds. Hopefully it will become as popular as here. :)

Great News. Maybe it's possible to enter a Thread-ID for direct Linking to the Translation Thread in our Forum?

Great News for German hackers! Hope that this will proceed vBulletins success :)
|
Welcome on Board :)
One suggestion though: Hacks released there should still be written in english in regards of function, variable Names and such - makes it easier for all of us. |

I'd suggest to always phrase Hacks, then one could just release translated Phrase XMLs - makes maintaining much easier.
|
I think only the translated phrases should be released there, but that is my personal opinion. Releasing the hacks there would make version management much more difficult. I also see problems with supporting the hacks, if the author don't visit the other board or is able to support in that language.
By offering a translation in german on a german board, you implicitly also suggesting that the hack itself will receive support in german, that would be my maijor concern. |

I think what he is trying to say is that the hacks will be located here on vB.org, and only a phrase .xml file released for a german translation of the hack there ;)

I really love this idea and I am glad it has finally happened, it makes vbulletin.org seem more "official" to me :).
~Curt Also, people whos native language is german and they post at this site asking for help but we cant understand them, should we send them to vbulletin.org.german :p. |
I also would like to say HELLO to all you out there :)
@yoyoyoyo Yes, after all we now can make use of more hackauthors regardless of their language, so german/english hacks make their way to vb.org and vice versa. |

We're able to change our title. Well, when I was under that group, I could.
Great idea, glad this went ahead. |
I'd like to see their default style over there released on vb.org. :speechless:
I like change and smooth blue is the only style I can really stand to use other than StylishGreen. |
Now, that we got the official status, we would like to thank all hack authors (named below), who gave us the permission to translate and "re-release" their hacks, even though we were not yet offical:
Abe1 Beermonster Bolas Creative Suite DarkVisor Deaths Gamingforce Logician LordJMann mtha MyIS_Jordan Phalynx rob_daemon Shane Teck The Geek Trigunflame uae Live Wire These authors (hopefully, we didn't miss someone) played a big role in getting the offical status, as the first "releases" at http://www.vbhacks-germany.com were translations of their hacks. Thanks to all of you, who believed in us and our project. Now that we are offical, we hope to get permissions for translations from other hack authors, so we can provide more translated hacks for the german community. A special "Thanks" goes out to KirbyDE respectively Kirby from vb.org team. Several times a day he's in our community to share his knowledge with our german users. Thanks for your support! With best regards from Germany :) |
[cough]Live Wire[/cough] ;)
|
Well the Version management only works if the Authors of the Hacks put everything in phrases, saw much Hacks where its mixed up :(

I've no problem with any of mine being translated.

If we hold a valid vbulletin license can we download hacks from the german vb site?
|
Yes, if your account is set up with an email that's in your priority support list then it should work fine.

At which site do you try to get access to downloads?
Best is to ask that the site itself, since they will be able to check out your account. |
