do people know how to read?

I'm sorry but I'm just blowing off steam here. It seems every day at least 1 or 2 people post their questions in the vb 3.0.x or 3.5 hack release threads! It's not really a big deal but come on now, can't you take the time to read before you get help for this problem that will ultimately cause your demise if you don't get assistance right away!???!!1!

I'm normally a pretty chill person but this has become my number one pet peeve on vb.org..

I feel so much better now, thanks for putting up with my rant :nervous:

Andreas 08-15-2005 10:11 PM

Now guess how it feels having to move such Threads over and over and over again ;)

I have great respect for you and the other mods here... If I were a mod, I'd want to ban some of the people who routinely post their "shiznit" :ermm: in the wrong threads, and act like they deserve an answer to their question IMMEDIATELY.

Admit it - you love it. ;)

<-- Nerd :D

amykhar 08-16-2005 12:38 AM

Isn't this posted in the wrong forum? ;)

Tony G 08-16-2005 03:05 AM

It's bound to happen, best to just put up with it. ;) Ignore the threads if they annoy you so much. :p

Well I load the homepage and I see a new hack so I'm like cool, let me check it out. Then it turns out to be someone asking for support. Just irks me is all.

1 or 2? Most you will never even notice because they are already handled by Mods before you see them.

That's why we're here, to fix that up. ^^

Chris M 08-16-2005 01:18 PM

Use the report button, that's what it is there for. Every time I use the button, it is moved right away. I assume they have the hack that creates a new thread in a private forum when you click on the report button.

Actually a big bell rings and we are put on DEFCON 1 until it is moved. ;)

Adrian Schneider 08-16-2005 05:42 PM

My theory: they can't read, they just come to vb.org to look at the pretty avatars and guess what the people are saying, having one of those "rolf" moments after each few posts, thinking "boofo... that oh so dirty Jedi". The odd moment comes when they have a question, and feel they need to ask it RIGHT NOW, no matter the thread.

Personally I can read *MOST* of what others say, it's just my own BS that I have trouble with. But the problems here are nothing compared to my board, I have one of those 13-23 year old gaming boards where they do really dumb stuff. Stuff so dumb, I woulnd't even dare mention it here!

Wow what an idiot I am. I didn't even think of pressing that button. From now on I will tho. Thanks for the tip

Well, you were the lucky one that got your name picked out of the hat. Now that I know you used it for kindling, guess who's name won't make it into the hat this year. I'll give you a hint ... it starts with BRAD!!!! ;)
