First Post reserved (don't know yet for what though) :D

Roxie 08-13-2005 01:23 AM

So does this mean you can set it so certain users cannot use sigs etc?

Jenta 08-13-2005 01:25 AM

nice idea
tackle the problem at the user level instead of creating usergroups for this group and that group

Andreas 08-13-2005 01:28 AM

@Roxie
Yes

@Jenta
Well, Usergroups are another way to achieve this.
'However, it can be a Bit problematic when you want to disable X, Y and Z ...

:classic:

Andreas 08-13-2005 01:43 AM

Could somebody enlighten me as to what "batting" does mean?

Roxie 08-13-2005 01:52 AM

hmmm. Something with baseball?

Anyway, I love it! Took seconds to install. Thx.

In baseball, batting is the act of facing the opposing pitcher and trying to produce offense for one's team. A batter or hitter is a person whose turn it is to face the pitcher. The goals of batters are to produce runs, but the techniques and strategies they use to do so vary. The main three goals of batters are to become a baserunner, drive runners home, or advance runners along the bases for others to drive home.

Batting 1000% means a person hits every ball pitched. I was refering to you making plugs and hacks for vb3.5

:nervous:

Will this interfere with something like the Signatures per forum mod or the Avatars per forum mod? And which would override which? ;)

Andreas 08-13-2005 09:19 AM

It Overwrites the Users Permissions.

I don't have Options to enable/disable Avatars/signatures per Forum?

hellsatan made an plug-in to do that. Should I un-install that one?

Andreas 08-13-2005 09:26 AM

Does not interfere; both Plugins should work together.

Boofo 08-13-2005 09:33 AM

Great, thanks! ;)

Mephisteus 08-13-2005 10:46 AM

Great work kirby!

Chris M 08-13-2005 10:49 AM

@Boobfew - As I understand it, if the forum allows them and the user cannot have them then they will not show up - If the user can have them and the forum allows them then they will show up - If the user can have them but the forum does not allow them, then they will not show up :)

User Manager, as the other Settings are too.

Boofo 09-05-2005 06:25 PM

The old file is still up for download, Kirby. And, yes, I cleared my cache. ;)

Andreas 09-05-2005 06:30 PM

You know me bob ;)
Is it the right Version now?

Boofo 09-05-2005 06:39 PM

eXtremeTim 09-07-2005 09:49 AM

I have mysql errors with this when I try to edit my buddylist. I only noticed it becuase vba gallery was spitting hella errors at me from this lol. Since it uses the ignore list. I will recreate the error and post it here when I wake up. If you still need it.

Andreas 09-07-2005 02:43 PM

Yes, please post the error. Don't see a reason what could be causing it ...

eXtremeTim 09-07-2005 08:33 PM

When creating new users from the Admin CP, all the settings are set to lock or disabled by default.

Is their a way to have them enabled by default.

Thanks

Andreas 10-14-2005 01:58 AM

@Robbed
Changed.
Never thought anybody would add new users through ACP ^.^

Robbed 10-14-2005 04:24 AM
