It looks like there's only one image gender hack so far so why not convert it to v3.5 RC2, please? :)

Contact the author if he plans to port it or gives permission for others to do so.

Anyway, to display a gender image you don't need a Hack.
This can be done with Template Conditionals and custom Profile Fields as well.

Why don't you release your own hack similar to this then? :P Alright I'll contact the author of that hack right away.

Man that's not fair. If a user is no longer active on the site, we are supposed to freely upgrade his or her hack without permission.

Besides, the author of that hack HAS recently returned and HAS said he will be porting his hacks.

You will need to make .gif images for each option and name them as per the option (Male.gif, Female.gif and Undefined.gif).

Yes it is and good luck with trying to get the copyright laws changed, no need to throw a tantrum because you are restricted from doing something.

He's not restricted from porting it himself and using it on his site but not distributing it.

But isn't that the same thing? He still has to obtain permission from the original author, so copyright issues would still be there.

He can do anything with it, he can port it, whatever. If he were to redistribute it on vBulletin.org without the author's permission, that would be a problem. He can port/modify anything for his own personal use. :ermm:

EDIT: I quickly whipped up a way to do so with ifs and the custom user profile fields. :) It's attached. :)

I am having the same problem as what you currently have. I would love to have one of the hack which I am current using to be port over to 3.5 but I have been waiting for about 2 months and not a single reply from the original coder :disappointed: (it seems like the guy has not been logging in for the past 2 months)

And I am currently holding on to all other modifications which I have in mind just because of this :cry:

But if someone were to be kind enough and come out with something similar, I would be very greatful to him/her.
