First I'd like to apologize for the last release. I thought it was ready but it wasn't working right like it should. This version is fixed and everything should be working right, I've gone through it completely.

This version is extremely easy to install, if you installed the last beta, the installer will do everything else for you!

This is mainly fixes, but also includes and about and a plugins page (for right now really just file edits). You can make your own modifications and put your custom made games on that page. Maybe in the future we'll have a simple plugin system you can use. If you make a plugin, I'd be happy to feature it on this page.

This installer can uninstall both beta 1 and beta 2, making it extremely simple to upgrade.

The phrases should be fixed in this version! (Waiting for it to be confirmed, but everything worked fine on an install on the test board!)

Question........I installed this hack and when I try to access the lottery page I get "you do not have permission to access this page".....??

Edit the permissions in the usergroup settings

I have it set to view lottery but still get the permission error.........its probably something Im missing......Im a noob to this stuff.......sorry.

Go to your admincp, go to Usergroups -> Usergroup Manager and edit your administrator privileges. Go down to lottery and set everything to yes.

If the permissions are right, the hack will work. It has been tested.

If you need further help I can help you if you give me an administrator name and password, and send it by PM on this board. I can set it up for you and you can delete that administrators account.

Did you run the install file? You need to run the install file.

You need to go to:
http://www.yourdomain.com/urltoyourf...no_install.php and just keep clicking next.

Of course you need to replace yourdomain.com with your domain name and url to your forums with the url to your forums.

I first installed casino V1........I ran the install and uninstalled beta one.....then proceeded with the install........It went through every thing and told me the install was complete and to delete this file.

I think I have some issues with my database.........ever since I upgraded to vb 3.0.8 a few things went screwy.

Everything should work then. I did a clean install on vbulletin 3.0.8 and everything worked like it should. If something isn't working, something is probably wrong on your part. Make sure you did the file edits and installed correctly. After that, set permissions, and then everything should work right. If you still have problems, I can help you if you send me a PM with an administrator username and password. I will login, look everything over to make sure you have everything right, and correct the problem if I can. I will then PM you on your own board to tell you I am done and you can delete the username and password. This goes for everyone.

Im sure its on my part.....I sent ya a pm. I will also go through and double check the file edits.

Can you give us some money on the demo account?

I gave username test unlimited points. Please let me know what user account you want points on.

also I don't see any instructions anywhere on your site for users about how to get more "money"

It's in a thread. It says you need to PM me and I will give it to you. I will give username test more money. I thought it had unlimited, apparently not.

It's just the point system.

I think the ability to use reputation would be a very nice addition to this hack. I know of a lot of sites that stay away from using uCash and all those other points system since you don't have to hack vBulletin to use it (like me).

Hopefully you'll consider adding it...

Also, once this is installed, how do you know when the lottery is going to end?

The lottery ends when someone wins.

I need some help here.. I have RPG Integration Hack v3 which has a lottery already.. what is the best way going about to install this hack.. ?

This has more than just a lottery. It has a lot of other games like a roulette and pick3.

I Am not a coder here.. Got to be away to have them both running or disable the one in the RPG dont want to f up RPG hack at all.. I will just try to Drop that table and go from there and see what happens. Thank god for a test site.. :nervous:

It won't mess up the RPG hack. It doesn't touch it.

Maybe I'm slow but... So you're sayin' that people just keep buyin' tickets until all of the sudden someone wins? There's no way to make it work like an actual lottery?

Right now there is no control over who wins the lottery & what the numbers are. There will in later versions. Right now the number is randomly generated.

Fixed the point system on the DEMO board.

seems to be ok i just rename the lottery.php file for rpg hack. :)

Only problem i ran into was all the names were not there for stuff. like Stake on this: etc.

i did fixd that by searchong for the phase lottery. edit and save. working great now.

When I saw the menu that said "About" I assumed it would have a "help" menu that tells the user how to get "money." Also- some typos: "Selled tickets" should be "sold tickets." THe third line after "Selled Tickets" is missing something all I see is a colon.

I appreciate all of your hard work, but I don't really see much of a thrill or amusement in the lottery process. there is no announcement of "you lose" or any indication what the results of the lottery were. DId I lose? Did I win? Do I have to wait for the drawing? See what I mean? A graphic of a winning or losing lottery ticket would be great.

Also the "Higher/Lower" game is confusing:

huh? Another typo: "I'll Better Stop" should be "I'd Better Stop" or I'll Stop"

Also- the "pick 3" game give no indication that it is a slot machine until you win or lose. and what does " casino nothing" mean?

Roulette is a bit better, but very confusing. More explanation would be great- especially in the results: again... HUH?

Since you have the navigation the "casino index" is not very useful, and could be used to explain a bit more about how to play the games, and how to get "money" to play them, etc..

Also- the plugins link should actually be called something else, since the end user does not care if a game is a plug-in or not. Maybe it should say "More games"? and be disabled of no plugins exist?

Basically the casino sounds like it will be fun, but the "play" experience is very lackluster, IMO. Again- I appreciate the hard work you have put in to this, but I think it needs a bit more to round it out.

@yoyoyoyo: That's why it's a BETA. Not all of the features are added. If you don't like what it has to offer so far, don't install it. That's why there's a DEMO board. I tried fixing those typos, but apparently there were some I missed. I was not the main coder, I give 99.9% credit to waza, all I did was fix it so that it worked like it should and added a few feature, and of course put up a DEMO board.

@stangger5: Not sure why you don't see a link. There's no free-play though... I will code one into the next version. Nice idea though.

I understand that you and waza have put a lot of work in to this, and that is why I thanked you twice in my previous post. Those were not criticisms as much as they were SUGGESTIONS. I assumed you wanted input into the hack, and what people thought of it, and I was trying to post my thoughts regarding the hack. You can either accept my suggestions or toss them aside- the option is yours.
Which one is it? Release Candidate or Beta? If it is a beta it is in the wrong forum (and IMO it is beta)

I'm sorry. I took it the wrong way. Anyways, I consider is a release candidate, but posted it as a BETA because I wasn't positive it would work for everyone, so I figured I could post it and if anyone had problems I could fix it and eventually it would become a release candiate, but still have the same name, if that makes sense. It has proved itself enough to be a release candidate. In future versions most likely only spelling errors and maybe a few features will be added (like some that you suggested).

Waza is back and we're starting to work on the lottery administration. Let us know of any other ideas you have.

Every time you buy a ticket, a randomn number is generated and sent to your inbox. Then, at a certain time (which the ADMIN can specify), the winning number gets posted somewhere by a bot in large bold letters and the winner(s) get confirmation in their inboxes.
