Servers Down

Is it just me, or are a lot of sites down today?

I can't get onto

theadminzone.com
phpmyadmin.net
php.net
servstra.com (plus a couple of my own sites which are hosted here)

To name but a few. Yet, I know it can't be my connection as I am able to log-in here, vB.com etc.

All okay for me.

They have just come back online for me too. :surprised:

This is a very strange error. But I am not making it up, honest.

Haha, you lie! jk lol...noh for me earlier today TaZ was down like 2 hours ago.

It's probably just you that so many forums you visit went down, usually coincodence.

I think you are right. I took the traditional windows method (despite being on a Mac) and rebooted my system and modem and all is working now.

it was strange though that I could get some sites and not others.

Tony G 07-24-2005 12:43 AM

It happens to me too, usually have to restart the computer & modem to get things back to normal.

Marco van Herwaarden 07-24-2005 04:20 AM

Maybe some DNS issues at your ISP.

Tony G 07-24-2005 06:06 AM

That's usually the case, it's not your fault. :p

True. But Telstra are Australia's largest ISP, so if they can't get it right...

Telstra suck, Optus aren't that much better, but they're still good and decent. I'm not saying it happens often to me, but rarely the internet will just stop working to its.. err.. full ability.
