Double navigation buttons bar
This was the best solution to have more navbar links I saw so far.
Edit "navbar" template, find Code:
<!-- breadcrumb, login, pm info --> Code:
<!-- top nav buttons bar --> edit: you can use this to put a link for the admincp in the navbar Code:
<if condition="$bbuserinfo[usergroupid] == 6"> |
I like the idea... I have my 2nd navbar with a space below the original. I tried yours & I haven't deside which one I like best.
Thanks! |
I saw your forum :) yeah its a matter of taste, I just needed space to throw some links at
here are a couple interesting links to fill out gaps if you need My Topics (topics you started sorted by last reply) Code:
<if condition="$show['member']"> Code:
<if condition="$show['member']"> edit: changed "topics I replied" to "my replies", kinda nicer |
Installed my site is more user friendly now than ever.

Thank you for sharing your mod Dream.
Could you please place your mod instructions in a .txt and attach it in a zip? It's easier for members to refer back to the modification if required if they can save it on their computers. :) Thank you. |
done

Yes those work as well, I have them added to my site and they work, the only change I made is I put them in the Quick Links instead of the navbar.
|
Brilliant .. very useful, thanks Dream
Clicked install. |
Anyone with vbadvanced portal installed might find this useful.
Code:
<td class="vbmenu_control"><if condition="THIS_SCRIPT == 'adv_index'"><a href="$vboptions[bburl]?$session[sessionurl]"> Forums <else /> <a href="$vboptions[homeurl]?$session[sessionurl]"> Portal </if></a></td> |
*Rowdy clicks install, then downloads and installs*
|
Nice!
Clickes Install |
One of my members is having problems with the My Threads and My replies links - they get a database error. I think it might be because they have an apostrophe in their name? Any ideas? :) Thanks
Database error in vBulletin 3.5.0 Release Candidate 3: Invalid SQL: SELECT posts, userid, username FROM user AS user WHERE username = 'Wesley's Sylyna'; MySQL Error : You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 's Sylyna'' at line 2 Error Number : 1064 Script : http://www.buffy-boards.com/search.p...0&exactnam e=1&searchuser=Wesley\'s%20Sylyna |
That really shouldn't anything to do with those links I would guess. Sounds like vb doesn't like apostrophes in names again. ;)

installed!!
nice thanks!~! ^^ |

Does it do it with the regular search in the navbar before you add this? Or am I missing something?
|
It adds links in the navbar to My Topics and My Replies.
|

I wanted to change the text and links for the first two buttons. I put the below code in in place of it. I created the new phrase for the gallery link. The navbar works great from the advanced CMPS. When I am in the forums or gallery and click on the new buttons, it does not work properly. Where did I screw up?
Here is the link to my site for you to see what I am talking about. North America Sportsman Code:
<!-- top nav buttons bar --> |
Hi, first of all thanks for this mod it's great!
I've installed it and it works perfectly, but it's added an extra bar instead of putting the links in the red bar, how do I fix this? http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/3708/how2fn.gif |
you are welcome :)
I would have to see the html in your navbar template to help you |
Like this you mean :p
Code:
<script type="text/javascript"> |
do you want to put the links in the red bar, remove the red bar or put the new bar under the red bar?
|
Put the links in the red bar, thanks.

Is there a way to get the navbar tree ie
vBulletin.org Forum > vB3.5 Modifications > vB3.5 Template Modifications > Other Modifications Right above quick reply? I used to have it in 3.0 but can't seem to figure it out in 3.5 |
duplicate the navbar you mean? not sure maybe you just copy or include the navbar on the footer?...
|

Prior to 3.5 I put the breadcrumb code into the showthread file right above the quick reply code. |
