We all know MTV and its spin off's suck, hell it has even spilled over to nickelodeon now a days.

Turn off, Tune out, Drop in ;)

Wow that is seriously ++++ed up..

My channel didn't air 40 minutes to show the news... I missed Deep Purple!

And Pink Floyd just made history.. very emotional show.

and MTV & VH1 showed exactly NONE of Neil Young's performance.

I hated when they brought Jay Z and Linkin Park onto the stage and cut to commerical... I was so pissed off. But at least they replayed that long set :)

Soon the entire shows will be commercials. Honestly I stoped watching MTV and MTV2 long ago, I think it was sometime after I relized Bevis and Butthead wasn't that funny afterall :p

Sometimes I catch my brother watching MTV2, and more often in not they run what I can only descibe as a 'tv pop-up' right in the middle of the screen durring whatever program they are showing! On top of this out of a 30 minute block you get about 20 minutes to commercials and 10 minutes of 'tv'.

Argh, people we don't pay upwards to $120 a month just so you can invade our minds with whatever your pitching 24/7. I swear when I move out my tv's will be restricted to the news (hmmm might drop this to..), video games, whatever is one my media server, and dvds. TV is a joke! Like all things we humans make we managed to take a good tool and turn it into crap.

I was only watching it for Live8 Brad :( I do watch SciFi Channel a lot and Cartoon Network when I am bored... I do occasionally flip over to our On Demand channels (Such as Adult Swim On Demand and Anime Network On Demand)

I watch a few programmes scattered over several channels - Luckily the main movie channels, Sky Movies, are totally un-interupted by adverts during the film - You get ads in between films, but mostly ads for movies being shown on Sky Movies - You then get the feature, the credits, then more ads :)

I agree on-demand is great. But sadly there is no such thing over directv. I'm growing tired of directv, the compression is awful on standard ratio now. Honestly when I notice more blockiness on my directv then I see on the latest fansub it makes you wonder why my dad spends so much money every month on it, I know I wouldn't!

Point is I'm sick of ad's, they're everywhere, mocking me at every turn. Heres how it should be....When I turn on the radio I should hear music, not some ad with the idiot at the end that says the legal info so quick you couldn't make it out if you tried. When I turn on my tv I want to see whatever I'm trying to watch, not the latest achivement by tampax.

I swear is I see one more commercial from tampons and/or that time of the month products I'm going to load of the shotgun and put the old tv down. All of them are the same, they start out with some women or group of women disscussing nothing of importance then one of them goes 'I'm on my peroid!' and her friend always replies 'omg don't you have cramps and bloating!?'.

Come to think of it I am sick of commercials for pills that give men boners. Like anyone cares who Bob is and why he can't wipe that grin off his face, his wife is scary and is probbly the reason why Bob had a problem in the first place. Then there are the 'spin-off' boner pills that always have a dude in his early 20's in the commercial but we all know no one under 40 is ever going to take said pill.

One last thing, if you ever see the guy that is in the subway commercials give him a punch in the face for me. I'll send you $20 if you can provide a picture as proof!

I'll find his address and go punch him in the face ;)

I shall then recieve $20 with which I will buy an axe and re-arrange his facial features so he has "Owned by vB.org" engraved into his skull ;)

Was the "Wish You Were Here" song not just the best of the night, dont know about you but for me it was worth waiting up for !

I am glad they left it to near the end, its the kinda song you call a classic..sacred music something you dont mess about with and only get better with age...just like a good whiskey.

Yknow some folk thing a lot of Pink Floyd fans are mostly out of there heads when they listen to them, thats maybe true for some...but you only appricate music from the likes of this with a sound sober mind if its not then you can easly miss the point.
