Clan Management System
 

How many people would be interested in a clan management system? I saw there was one here but havn't looked into it. Anyway I made one for my Starcraft website, and because I don't know much about other games I don't know what other fields should used. (Maybe even edit them from ACP).

Some of the features:
-Invitations
-Join Requests
-Access hierachy (you can edit/dimiss people with lower rank)

There are leaders, then people the leader appoints to help recruit/manage the clan and the others. Everyone uses a rank (similar to display order) which sorts them and handles the access between members with access.

Should I make it a big more general and release it here? For those interested contact me on MSN or email (see my profile) and I can show you it and hopefully pick up some suggestions/feedback.

It's made, I just need to do ACP options and maybe an installer. A few things need to be changed to make it more general (it was made for Starcraft).

What would be cool would be to add stuff like:

A Roster
Matches

I've heard mixed comments about vbwar, and besides, it's not free.

There is a roster... no matches though, I'm going to eventually build it into a clan league for my site.

Starcraf? I play that game too.

Yeah, this would be great if able to adapt it to FPS clan management as well.

yeah, vbwar seems dead ao hopefully someone comes up with something soon. Something like vbwar or vwar integrated into vbulletin.

I'd like to see, a different forum for every clan?? and ppl who are in the clan can view it & there is a visitor status, where ppl can apply to view it, clan leader only has the permission to allow this etc?

All I would want is everything that vwar has and integrated into the forum and forum calendar. Not sure how long I would be willing to wait for something like htis but I think no matter what, whenever it is made, a ton of people will want it and use it.

There are some hacks available now that can do some of the things you're asking. I think the Battle system hack allows you to run tournaments with the win/lose style tree. There may be a couple like that around. You can use the Form Hack to create custom applications for challenges and clan membership. There is also a TeamSpeak hack that integrates with the board. It shows who's online in the TS server on the Forum Home.

In another thread I just explained to a person that I had to create my own Clan Roster (with a profile info page) that integrates fully with vB. I'd show it but my database is missing from the server at the moment. Sigh...

My site does actually have most of the hacks mentioned running and looks quite sweet BUT the old vbwar "ladder" system is what I'd love... Something like vwar but integrated with the vb calender etc.

hmm, after a bit of searching I cant find a battle system? Am I being thick? :confused:

I only found the 3.0 version. The author may have released it as payware.

There is a battle system hack, but it only allows in-thread battles between two persona. And yes, that hack is commercial.

I'm so waiting for this hack.

Wow this idea looks great, and pretty much what i'm looking for, then clan i'm in would basically need, matches, results, but slightly differently, we have sub clan teams! ....

You guys are pretty much requesting the same things. All of them are gonna be included. Except, teams: could you elaborate on what those sub clan teams are and what function do they serve?
