Tony G 06-26-2005 01:18 AM

Chris M 06-26-2005 03:07 PM

I have been given a spot at a great University here in Canada to study International Business and Law (Double Major) with opportunities to Minor (and opportunities to Master and then PhD) in Psychology.

I just wanted to say, Erwin, sir! I am glad to follow in your footsteps :) He is an MD, Lawyer (well last time we talked you were studying law).

Best wishes! :)

Yes, I'm fully practising as a lawyer now, in health law - not practising medicine at all now, but I may do so one day again.

A psychology/ law combination is very good and will open many doors. :)

Chris M 06-26-2005 11:11 PM

So that degree in lockpicking comes in handy then Erwin?:p

Lawyers earn a lot more than doctors. :)

I wanted to do law because of an interest of mine. It wan't because of money. Money shouldn't be the reason for anyone to choose a career - that is a recipe for depression, burn-out and a mid-life crisis. :)

I'm not too sure about that. A combination of both is nice. I want to do law as it interests me as well as the fact that it pays heaps, especially when your experience in the profession grows. :D

goldhoster 06-28-2005 03:52 AM

I just want to be a cop, has more action and you can move up. Thats what I start in college this year.

Tony G 06-28-2005 03:53 AM

I hear the big cheeses of the police earn heaps of $$$. ;)

Chris M 06-28-2005 06:52 AM

I'm looking to join the police force here in the UK in a couple of years, after my University studies are over ;)

I want to do it purely for the enjoyment however - Money is obviously important, but Police salary here is decent to start off with so I doubt money will be of a great issue for at least the first few years :)

I can see the enjoyment, having a gun, acting big, telling off rebel teenagers..

I see your not keen on them :devious: I just want to get little sh*ts who think they can get away with vandalism and annoying old people. You don't get a gun so theres no acting big because of that. Guns are for cowards! UK doesn't use guns. Its seems fun knowing each day is a different task 1 day I could get shot etc.. I like the sound of it :ninja:

Chris M 06-28-2005 01:25 PM

Yeh we don't get Guns here, unless you are one of the Special "Swat-esque" police force members, which is not what I want to be ;)

Here, you only get a baton, similar to a nightstick, which you get to physically beat the snot out of little sh*ts ;)

Much more satisfying :D

Well they use guns here, because everyone has a gun, knows someone with a gun, or can get a gun if need be.

To call someone a coward for using a gun is stupid. I suppose I could say the same about any Army in the world. Heres an idea, lets invade china with swords and horse, I'm sure they won't shoot as soon as they relize we aren't..

I'm talking about people who use guns againt people who don't have guns, you know thats what I meant. And it is cowardly to use a gun, if your attempting to fight somone who does have a gun then obviously you will have a gun but if your fighting somone who doesn't have a gun thats just cowardness. I am talking about the UK as thats where I am so this has nothing to do with the US at all no matter what I think about guns. Besides we are not talking about armys here we are talking about single people.

Chris M 06-28-2005 02:11 PM

I would fight someone with a gun regardless of whether I have one or not - Thats mostly because I'm an insane idiot though ;)

Satan

Brad 06-28-2005 02:22 PM

The fact of the matter is you never know whos got a gun and someone is going to be the one to pull it first worse come to worse.

This always depends on the situation, but I'm sure anyone would be willing to fight to save their own life....running is always the better option if you are out of range tho, then again that depends on your cover and how good of a shot the guy with the gun is. :)

I would fight to save the life of someone I love also, or a dear friend ;)

If you ever plan to get yourself on the recieving end of a bullet, make the shooter's job harder by constantly changing direction, and randomly jumping to one side or dodging through some trees - It may make your escape longer, but the shooter will have a harder time compensating for distance and getting a hit if you are making eratic directional and positional changes ;)

I'm probably one of them. XD.

But no, I don't go vandalising people's property. I'm good.. most of the time.

Although, I've definitely annoyed lots of old people before. :D

Little s**t, I'm afraid. ;)

Don't worry, we can all still be friends. ;)

goldhoster 06-29-2005 01:03 PM

So you terrorise 80 year olds who are nearly dying? shame.

Tony G 06-29-2005 01:06 PM

Well, not that old. I mean that, mid-aged people can sometimes get in my way, and you have to act to get them out of the way.

Don't picture me doing something like... throwing an egg at an old person. Only sad people do that. ;)

I'm sad to say I was and still somewhat am a hooligan - But I'm almost 20 so I have no "little sh*t" excuse any more :p
