Can you become Spiderman?
 

As Marco has decided to boycot the Batman/hellsatan-is-god craze, he opted for people to become Spiderman - So...

Can you become spiderman?

Has anyone actually tried to get a spider to bite them - It doesn't work damnit :ermm:

It does if it's a tarantula and you keep blocking its escape route ;) but I don't think that would give you the ability to shoot web and climb walls.

And why oh why did they pick Toby McGuire to play him in the films???????

They couldn't find anyone else with bad enough acting to fit the Spiderman role ;)

I think with a tarantula, it might give you the ability to writhe in pain and perhaps fit while the poison kills you... Hrm... Maybe I won't use a tarantula ;)

You know.. I read that as they couldn't find someone else with bad enough acne *shakes head* I think I need glasses!

Well instead of Spiderman, try being Gecko Man.. they kinda suck your hand instead of biting them.. and you may still get the funky walking up walls ability if you get the right type to bite you :)

They can be quite vicious little creatures...

Problem is though, I want the ability to shoot web out of my hands, and also to be able to beat up criminals with my super-spider strength and agility ;)

And of course, to have the wonderful "Spidey-sense";)

Hmmmm..... you could always go down the same route as Jeff Goldblum in The fly, remove the biting part and just merge your DNA with that of your chosen spider, there's just that ugly side-effect of starting to look like one.. which leads me to an important question.....

What about the suit? Will you be wearing that too or designing a new one?

To throw people off, I'd wear a Batman suit ;)

I wouldn't merge my DNA - It'd kill the poor spider ;)

I'd have to inject the DNA into me, and hope it takes off...

Makes complete sense to me! Plus it's got that nice black colour going for it, which is always a bonus. How would you incorporate the venom, it'd be far too useful to waste.

Maybe through my teeth - I could bite people...

Or I could have little poision darts that shoot out as well as web ;)

Actually the black spider custume, Spidey "weared" during the venom episoned would be nice ^^

and Chris, regarding the originaly, you don't need a spider to bite you to spin webs out of your arms, that was a technical gimmick, peter parker constructed, and it was not a biological change ;)

well it's better with bio since he can climp on the walls, light like feather and is afraid of sounds so to have chemical web is nonsense, be Batman then.

Actually I think it differs from writer to writer in the comics. I've followed the comics since before the movies, long time fan. I noticed it just depends on who is writing the comic. Thats the only thing I hate about comics...No one ever keeps things the same. >.<

I've seen spiders explode on medium before :)

I think the key is to get the spider to bite you in a certain spot. So keep trying

I wish I was spiderman but I have a phobia against cobwebs though :o

They only explode if they sit still but not if they move. Like any small insects they will not get bombard enough to get hot.

Also it is gentically poss. to do but then how u have to that to your spouse and several generation of your family.

but your right, such things are making comics a bit messy often...
