Style Version: 3.5.4 (SEO'd)


Features:

• Forum Status Icons Horizontal
• Rounded top and bottom corners
• Easily configured Javascript counter displaying time since forum launch on Forum Home
• Greeting conditional on day of week and time of day
• Custom statusicon and several misc images
• Some SEO elements (from T2Dman's most excellent seo vBulletin hack.) in the navbar.

I will NOT provide support for the removal of features of this style. If you want to remove things, look in the relevant templates and remove them.

This is the 3.5 Release of the Steel series in Teal for 3.5.4.

Customised statusicon, buttons/misc and gradients folders included.

***Additional Instructions***

vBAdvanced Users: Put nzb_greeting and nzb_greeting2 in the globalized variables section of your vBA AdminCP - Default Settings.

To change the 'Launch date' ticker on Forum Home, look in the FORUMHOME template, near the bottom. There is a start date field. :)

To change the greetings that appear in the navbar, have a look in your nzbgreeting plugin.

To have the Forum images show up for selected forums, go into your forumhome_forumbit_level*_post templates (both level1 and level2) and look for the condtitional that reads:

Change these ids to the ones you want to use.

Further on in the same template is this conditional:

The array contains those Usergroup ids that we do NOT want to see the Start New Thread button.

How come the logo is above the rounded side?

Because I got a Job in the middle of making this release and didn't get around to splitting the header from the navbar in this style.

Damned jobs...but it will be nice to have a regular income once more.

Just a little update...the conditional for the New Posts message wasn't quite to my liking. :)

(Oh and...having a job is far more tiring than messing about with vB all day.)

Somewhat..the reason you are missing those images is I did not include them.

They are supposed to be icons for the Forums...unique to your site. You have to make them yourself.

*edit* By default, this will not occur. It is only when you edit the forumhome_forumbit_level* templates and change the 9999,9999 conditional.

how can I remove the Images completly ?

And what ist with the space that i missed ?

I don't think I understand the second bit...but to make the images not be there, look in the forumhome_forumbit_level*_post templates for an if conditional that contains /forumhome/$forum[forumid].gif and either set the forums to 99999 or remove it completely.

That is weird... sorry, but I wouldn't have a clue, other than to suggest looking at the very top of forumhome_forumbit_leve1_nopost (I think) and making sure the number in the conditional is equal to your top most category.

I changed the to an now it works.

two more questions:
1:
Where must I search to macke the Board-Online Counter German ? I don?t found any Phrases.

2:
in addition the tables are not exactly among themselves where must I improve? Look at Atached File.

Maybe...I have a job now, so time spent re-coding styles for each Beta might not prove feasible.

I guarantee it will be updated for 3.5 Gold.

In getting NZB ready for BETA3, I am finding the templates that need to be reverted, and that are changed in this style.

From what I can see, there's only SHOWTHREAD and postbit to worry about. Revert them then do a compare and replace the changes I have made.

Hi all! I've installed this on vB 3.5.0 beta 3 and it looks great with almost zero problems. One issue I am not fully clear on is below:

What is that dot, why is it showing up, and how can I remove it?

NOTE: It only appears on the main forums page.

EDIT: And while I'm at it, is quick edit not supposed to be working or is that just me?

I have been getting this too but only on the firefox browser IE works fine :)

Not enough to convince me to touch Internet Explorer with a ten foot pole, I'm afraid! And what about the quick edit? When I click Edit, it takes me straight to the advanced editor.
