adding a menu to the forums
 

Sorry if this has been asked, but I wish to add a menu to my forums. So far I have it added but can't get the forums next to the menu. Would show you a screen shot but you wouldn't be able to see the forums nor could I give a link because I had to switch it back to normal before the members complained.

Any help much appreciated.

Menu, menu where? Navbar? A dropdown one? Please specify some more.

I have it but one prob is, it doesn't come with a built in menu so I had to create my own. I am custom coding the forums. How do I add the menu to the forums? BTW, I have asked over there but my post goes unanswered so I decided to try here.

There is a section in the manual the explains adding the modules to the actual forums. I have a pretty cool Navigation mudule I can give you the template for on my site if you are interested.

Well one prob with upgrading, you wanna take over 35 hacks/addons and install them to the new files for me? Took me 3 days to do that.

Yeah I get emails when people sign up at my forums. So far we have had 5 sign up within 2 days which is pretty good on our end.
Why do you say I should upgrade to 3.0.5?

Didnt you get the email from Jelsoft? There are numerous security issues that get fixed in 3.0.5.

Strangely enough my upgrade from 3.0.3 to 3.0.5 went smooth and most of my hacks were uneffected. a couple edits here and there, nothing major. If I were you I would upgrade.

The more you add the hacks the faster it gets done.. Good practice,

Yeah I got the email but all the files I edited, are the files that need to be replaced so I would basically have to reinstall. I will take a further look tonight and see if for sure all files that include my hacks are effected. It is pretty fast for me but its hard to make sure you do them in a certain order.
