kazmughal,

You are currently showing up as unlicensed. To be able to download modifications and/or receive support here at vBulletintemplates.com, we ask you to please click here (vB-germany users click here) and enter your email address, to show us that you are licensed.

You will need to use your customer number and password (which will be in the email you got when you paid for your license) to access that page. Please note that your email is case sensitive.

Thank you.

But i know im not liscenced i have not bought vbulletin yet, i just wanted to download templates to see how to make them and how i can get use to them before i buy it

Zachery 07-08-2004 02:49 PM

Before you have a license you have no reason to see the templates and modfications released here. they would do you no good :)

imported_khaleel 07-08-2004 05:31 PM

they would im only curious to see them is that such a harm. please let me see them

rebelsrock06 07-08-2004 05:41 PM

Sorry, but you simply Cannot be allowed to see templates unless you are liscensed. It is for security reasons. Because of Piracy boards if we had all mods openly avail they would have access to it too.

imported_khaleel 07-08-2004 07:46 PM

yes but home can you just get a hold of a $300 dollar software? i only want one template, thats the techstyle, i dont think thats a problem. or an offence im not going to jp the offer coz i aint got vb yet

Tony G 07-09-2004 12:06 AM

Sorry, for security reasons (prevention of piracy being one) we cannot let an unlicensed user download anything from this site. Once you get vBulletin, that style will be useful to you. Until then, it isn't.

There is no try before you buy around here. Your welcomed to purchase a copy at www.vbulletin.com and we wil be more than happy to help you soon after. :)

Zachery 07-09-2004 07:00 PM

The style would be of no use to you with out vBulletin, as the xml file only contains the modified templates, there would be no way to view changes or even see how it workjs with vB untill you have a copy and install the style.

imported_khaleel 07-28-2004 12:20 PM

how do you actually install a new style and set it as the default?

Fairclough 07-28-2004 01:10 PM

Are you suggesting you already have a vBulletin? :P

7upyours 07-31-2004 02:08 PM

I am licensed and am still having the problem. At this point I'm seriously considering putting up my licenses for sale unfortunately as all the hassles are just not worth it (including the long copyright requirement at the bare minimum)

Might i ask what problem you have with vbulletin ? Its the easyest peace of forum software out there to work with ?
And whats the problem with the copyright ?

It's not the product but other items. First let's talk about support here, vbulletin.org, et. al. I can't view any pictures or attachments because even though my email addresses are listed as requested, I can't be verified as a licenseholder for some odd reason. Whatever. I've had enough of the constant dealing with fixing this crap.

The copyright: Technically there shouldn't any problem with my board at all. But over the years I've found that several "enthusiasts" who have become part of vBulletin cannot help remind all of us little people (roflmao) that they are now associated with the King (I'll bet 1 in 100,000 people might have heard of vB) and must mention alleged copyright violations at every opportunity in their replies. Not only are private message not sent to license holders but there is such a big stink made out of such small issues. All the essentials are in there but now it is not according to their "letter of the law" for minimum display, which is longer than our other copyrights. Invisionboard allows much more flexibility and if I even don't want the copyright to display the total cost will be $350 compared to $800 or so (probably more now) that vBulletin is seeking.

As far as ease of use goes, I've found that most users who are not bbs savvy are confused by all the options that VB has put in there. Many don't care for the investment in time to learn how to use the board and the users really don't need most of the features.

7up i am sorry to hear that you are having problems with our license verifcation system, have you reported this on vBulletin.com or sent in a support ticket?

We also have a removal fee which is 120 USD, which applys one license not all, it was changed recently. The old way was 800 for all licenses that a single user held.

Please let me know if there is anything i can do to help make your expirence here better.

JustLexx 08-02-2004 04:55 PM

Is there another way. I am sure we are licensed. But I just am an admin not the owner of the site. I was asked to help with the templates. I wanna download the free styles for vb. so i can look at them from the inside. if i use any or modified any i would credit/link them.

Zachery 08-03-2004 02:21 AM

The owner of the license needs to enter your email on that form JustLexx.

imported_skunker 08-04-2004 08:08 PM

Okay I bought vbulletin and am pretty sure I entered all the info correct, but I still can't download/view attachments? What's up?

defi 08-05-2004 05:14 PM

You need to make sure you used the e-mail address you have your member account licensed with (say you used name@domain.com for your paypal account you bought vbulletin with, you need to use that e-mail on all the vbulletin official registration forms).

imported_skunker 08-06-2004 01:27 AM

Okay, I still can't seem to "get in". I purchased vbulletin with 'john@doe.com' email address and it shows in my member control panel in VB, but when I click a link to view attachments in here....it just asks me to list 3 more emails to use. What should I do?

minaural 08-06-2004 06:27 PM

I can understand not being able to download the zip files for the styles, but why do the screen shots also have this requirement?

I am currently using phpBB and I might consider moving to vb if I can find some nice templates that fit my sites theme. So why is even viewing the screenshots of the theme no allowed? Is there a gallery or a demo forum where we can see the templates before purchasing them?

Brad 08-06-2004 07:51 PM

You will need to contact offical support if you can not access this site, only they can verify an acount manualy.

This is because we restrict viewing of attachments via usergroups and not attachment types, I will be fixing this issue soon so unlicensed members may view screenshots.
