[RELEASE] VB 3.0.0 "Matrix Falling Code"
 

Here is a style that was created by a good friend of mine and he is a total Matrix fan, he made this using a CSS sheet and i ported it to VB 3.0.0.

I hope you enjoy this.

P.S. There is also a Very Small Screeny, i had to black out two spots cuz we have profile images that show on the homepage, i didnt think youd want to see those :p

does the code accually move down the screen?

unfortunately NO, it doesnt. That would be to much trouble and it would cause problems for members with dial-up

IT would look really cool if it did tho

what about if it was done with flash?

Also i made the bg a fixed item so it doesnt scroll with the rest of the page. it look really cool.

YEAH you should make some flash stuff for one style... like you could have both you know? I can help if you decide to do it ^_^ I'd love to see that happen

Well what I was saying is I can make a matrix style flash BG... but you'd have to figure out how to impliment it. If you can do that I'm be psyched for a great new project.

thats easy i viewed the source

heres what it says

background: /mat#5F9460 url(images/Matrix/matrixbg.jpg)

notice the category Matrix is Capitalized "Matirx"

change it to a lower case and it will work

N/P casper it was just the matter of changing a few urls that were wrong and the mat/# you had was causeing it not to show the BG :D

Here are the Buttons and the Statusicons, it makes the style look a LOT better

But PLEASE do NOT use these buttons or statusicons for ANY other style or redistibute them,:D

Just an update for you guys, i have talked to Glenn about it and we are going to attempt to make the bg acctually have the code falling, he will make the flash and ill have to impliment it, we will be keepping you updated

just use this to install with and upload the gif file in then matrix folder

p.s. i hope i didnt make the coder or anyone mad at me for changeing there code
and makeing this work if i did i am sry......

the only thing is. you can attach the file for the BG and instruct them how to do it but i believe this would be re-distributing. I don t think its a problem tho. Lets just not do it anymore ok.:)

Except i think the "falling" code is falling a little too fast. You cant tell which direction it is going.

Another problem is the "loop" going into the next lower image reveals a line. Kinda annoying.

Otherthan these points you have done a good job!

Can we modify this in anyway? I fancy the background and the index bar but the rest of it is far too busy for me. Most of my members are women in their 30's and 40's and they complain on my current site that they can't see some of the text. It probably won't look too much like your creation by the time I've toned it down but I'll still keep your copyright on. But maybe you wouldn't like what I do with it?

I'll have to modify templates anyway because I have the sliding transparent table on my current site, but I could only get it working on very old Mac browsers by stepping outside the CSS. I just know I'm gonna have to do so again. Stupid Macs. :)

What i mean is this. I have to install your style in my Forum and it works perferkt, but if i want tocklick on my vbindex.php not index.php i have a white page.
