This Style (vB3)
I'm not sure what it is, I wasn't too crazy about this style before but now that I've seen it on vB3 I love it! I'm curious if/when it will be available to the public. I'm also curious if it is released, will it have most of the hacks/edits that are on this board (like the alternating left/right postbit)?
Great job guys! |
Hey, im happy you like the style, it wasent really ready for the release. I wanted to tweak on it a bit more but I still think it looks pretty good atm.
Im not sure if it will go public, as I am not the author or the one that ported it, im sure alot of the modifications will be released however. You can buy a copy of the style from the author at www.vbulletinstyles.com , but they have not ported it to vB 3 yet as far as I know. :) |
Nor do we have any plans to :)
/ive talked to Miko about it This sytle has alot of things ive customized about it :) its still missing a few things (image here or there) but it has alot more than the original did |
Good job, i like it :)
Yup, lookin good to me. Good Job :)
Thanks for the feedback guy
This style is TOO cool...
I have this same style for vb2 and planning on porting it to vb3... well i guess Faranth already did it... I'm looking forward to this style...! hopefully it will be released for public... |
I might port this at Mikos request, however it wouldnt be the same as it is here...
i really like this style too;)
Dislike the alternating profile part. I've gotten so used to the other style I don't really like this one anymore.
With the postbit alternating, some like it some dont, its a matter of opinion really ;)
i used it to show off what conditions alone can do :) also it trys to show a flow of conversation :) and i think it does a rather nice job |

I'm glad you're doing that, because I'm not a huge fan of it.
The style needs some very *small* touches here and there, and it would be perfect for vBT, and for selling at whoevers request. |
Looks sexy to me, love the alternating postbit, something different and works really well imo although it is slightly confusing at first.:D
REALLY Nice, I loved the vB2 version and this one is even better! NICE JOB!

any release on how to make it do that?
Make it do what?
Probably the alternating postbits.
I dunno if ill be relesaing that soon :) its not HARD but its not simple if you dont know php :)
The style is good.. Much better than the last one in fact. The only annoying thing is the alternating postbits. Makes it difficult to stay on focus of the page. Would be nice if there was a switch to turn that off.
Ive been getting mixed feedback abou that Wayne, Hopefull over the weekend ill be able to add both a standard non alternating postbit, plus a newer styled postbit, like the default from vBulletin.com :)

I personally like the alternating postbits, its different than the usual thing seen everywhere else :)
So much better now Brad, thanks. :)
You guys hurt my feelings :(
Don't get me wrong, I liked it, but I'm used to it all being the same, and not alternating.
Sorry. =/ |
I was just kidding ^^ i expected to get mixed feedback on it :)
It looked good on the screenshot, but it's different from a screenshot to when it's in place. :)
I hope you understand. |
If you checked your IM's from time to time youd see i explained it to you already ;)
Faranth: I haven't recieved any IM's, sorry, would you like to send them again?
damned, this style is just sooo ugly :(
the background doesn't fit to the rest of the page because it's to dark, the post indicator looks funny (what is it btw?!). Maybe one of you drank too much fanta blue berry. Don't get me wrong, blue is my favorite color but that blue looks like we're on a kiddie-like nivea community (http://www.nivea.com/). Saintdog, iam sure you could do better :) This one looks like it has be done by a 12 year old child. This design could make me turn my back on vbt.com and never look back. haven't looked at the user cp yet but hopefully i can switch to the default style. |
Much better with the option to use static postbit. I have to agree with MrNase to a certain degree. There's just that bit too much light blue for my liking.
This was the original vBT style and its too the liking of most of vBT's original staff and members (i was here when the place opened ;P)

Correct wayne, this was the style used on vBT when it first opened. The vB 3 version is not an exact port, and we will be changing parts of the style over time :)
no wayne, it's not an insult and it's not a compliment :)
I think this design sucks and I think the person who did this design could do a much better job, because I think i could have been done better. To be honest, I don't care who did this design and I don't want to insult anyone may it be faranth or saintdog or .... If my post sounded rude, i'll apologize. It may be that you got me wrong because iam german and i got some difficulties in your language :) |
There are some slight differences in the style, the button set being the main difference. Is this what could be contributing to it having too much light blue? Because everything else is the same as it was in the vB2 style.
The style is all well and good, but is there any chance we can get a liquid version?
