Massive update

After spending abit after beta 7's release ive TOTLAY redone the style to look much more like windows xp :)

take a look at the live demo :)

all the images are in the zip along with the templates, the new pacakge that is there is for BETA 7 ONLY.
the templates will not work with pre b7 vb3 systems

i have also included the psd's for buttons the psd for the logo file is in the old zip.

it took me a long time to do it today,

i encluded the logo.psd so you can change the forum title, if you dont have Adobe Photoshop if you pm me ill put your fourm titile in there

you just need to preform the settin change, no templates need to be modified

nope i coded it all my self today, today, i was bored and wanted to make an xp skin

I thought he was asking if it was for vB2? *Shrugs*

It looks good. But with the header, you should make the banner fit the length of the navbar. It works better that way, and will look better too.

i develop in 1600x1200 and i lowered the button size once, if you remove the start button(i dunno if thats in that style i released) it shouldnt be a problem on low res boxes

some one move this to vb3 styles please?

hi there!

i named the subdirectories on the server as you did - now i don't now which directories to set in the style manager.

some are of course obvious but then misc, reputation and so on?

the style works but most of the icons are missing because i don't know the correct subdirs!

could you help me please?

revert all of your image dirs,

i didnt rename any of them specifcly, all the files are in their approtate folders, just change the first foldername to what ever you uploaded it as, on mine i have it called XP

so instead of images/misc it would be xp/misc
and instead of images/buttons it would be xp/buttons and so on

Ok, sorry to bother you again, but ther ain't no buttons subdir in your zip file.
i created
attach
avatars
icons
polls
posttree
ranks
smilies
and so on. so, there is no misc or buttons subdir!
when i set the button images folder to my images/xpstyle folder, then nothing happens!
i get all the colors and the winxp logo but no top buttons or post,edit reply buttons.
so, what am i doing wrong here??

i'm using beta 7 - could it be that it ain't working with this version?

Ok, ok I got it now! The Luna set works fine - the XP blue one didn't fit. sorry to bother you so often! ;-)

my only question would be if you downloaded the beta 7 or beta 6 versions ;)

I made a fresh installation of a beta 7.

the one with the longer name is the beta 7 version :)

Style looks absolutely great! Thanks for the contribution to vBT. It does not fit the rest of our site, so I will not use it... though if we ever come up with a software orientated site, we'll use this skin! Many thanks again!

Hi there. I have been hunting for a style to use with my recently converted phpbb-VB3 RC2 forum and stumbled across your website last night. I love your dark style/theme and noticed that you have it running on RC2 as well. Could you possibly tell me if this means that your style you have attached here works properly with RC2, or if you have modified your style just for your site atm and have not made the updated version available?

i have started work on both XP styles again, however the style on my site is 100% property for my site and will not be released to the public sorry >.<

no beta 7 forum to install on :) sorry. im currently working on one project and it should be finished by tomorow, this weekend i am hoping to upgrade both blue and sliver :)
