Rufus69 06-14-2003 07:02 PM

Cool, I'm installing. :)

Rufus69 06-14-2003 07:38 PM

Slight problem...It won't take all the code...

I put in
Quote:

<table style="background-color:#EEEEEE; color:black; border:1px solid #BBBBBB" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="5"><tr><td valign="top" bgcolor="#BBBBBB"><div style="font-size:50px; font-weight:bold; font-family:Times New Roman, Times, serif; position:relative; top:-10px">"</div></td><td rowspan="2"><font style="font-size: 10px;">{param}</font></td><td rowspan="2" valign="bottom" bgcolor="#BBBBBB"><div style="font-size:50px; font-weight:bold; font-family:Times New Roman, Times, serif; position:relative; top:25px">"</div></td></tr>
But it only uses
Quote:

<table style="background-color:#EEEEEE; color:black; border:1px solid #BBBBBB" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="5"><tr><td valign="top" bgcolor="#BBBBBB"><div style="font-size:50px; font-weight:bold; font-family:Times New Roman, Times, serif; position:relative; top:-10px">"</div></td><td rowspan="2"><font style="font-size: 10px;">{param}</font></td><td rowspan="2" valign="bottom" bgcolor="#BBBBBB"><div style="font-size:50px; font-weight:
I even tried putting it there manualy, but mysql I guess doesn't like that long of code..

Rufus69 06-14-2003 07:41 PM

Silly SD. :P You forgot to put the query in there. :P

Dribbles 06-14-2003 07:43 PM

What query? would like to install this myself :)

Rufus69 06-14-2003 07:48 PM

Quote:

ALTER TABLE bbcode CHANGE bbcodereplacement bbcodereplacement TEXT NOT NULL;
That was in the first version txt. :) Works nice now.

Dribbles 06-14-2003 07:49 PM

thnx :) So I just do that query with phpmyadmin then follow the instructions in the text file?

Rufus69 06-14-2003 08:00 PM

Yep. :)

Argh..10 chars...

Dribbles 06-14-2003 08:01 PM

thnx :)

123456789

SaintDog 06-14-2003 10:29 PM

The 10 charater limit was placed in effect for a reason ;) -- to stop short, choppy postings.

Rufus69 06-14-2003 10:31 PM

That's message discrimination! :( :o :p

ernestdefoe 06-16-2003 06:36 PM

I did the query, and it was succesful, and yet it still has my board all messed up.

ernestdefoe 06-16-2003 06:45 PM

Okay problem fixed. Input the code in again after running the query, and it fixed it.

same here, works now !! thanks

EyeCrave 07-08-2003 11:16 PM

Have you noticed that there is no spacing for the quote. Say you want to put it after some text it is directly against it?

Example:

Quote:

Testing Testing. Put whatever here
I've put 3 returns (or pressed Enter 3x) after example yet it still touches the word. I've tried added a
Code:

<br />
before the table and it still does it. Any ideas?

EyeCrave 07-08-2003 11:26 PM

Fixed it... I just put
Code:

<blockquote></blockquote>
around it and all is well now.

phill2003 08-08-2003 08:13 PM

yep again my thanks go out to you.

'installs'

oh and thanks eyecravedvd for pointing that out....:)

alwafi 08-29-2003 04:16 AM

thanks

:cool:

Bungie 08-30-2003 11:04 PM

This doesn't look the same... :(

imported_TheComputerGuy 09-19-2003 06:58 PM

I would like to create cool quotes like SD did on vBT...can anyone give a tutorial on how to do that?

Ryan McBain 09-27-2003 08:45 AM

My question, now that beta 7 is out how do I install this modication? What do I have to change?

Toky0 09-27-2003 09:13 PM

When I try to run the query through the ACP via Import & Maintenance > Execute SQL Query. It says "You are not authorized to execute SQL queries"... Can someone help me out?

you can change that in your config.php :

PHP Code:

 [size=2]
// ****** USERS WITH QUERY RUNNING PERMISSIONS ******

// The users specified here will be allowed to run queries from the control panel.

// See the above entries for more information on the format.

// Please note that the ability to run queries is quite powerful. You may wish

// to remove all user IDs from this list for security reasons.

$canrunqueries '';

[/
size

$canrunqueries ''ALTER TABLE bbcode CHANGE bbcodereplacement bbcodereplacement TEXT NOT NULL;";

[/size]

So I put the query like this. ^ ?

Schorsch 09-27-2003 10:05 PM

no!!

put in your user id

eg.

$canrunqueries = '1'

save your config.php, upload to the server.

then you can run querys from your admincp

Toky0 09-27-2003 10:06 PM

lol Sorry. Ive been drinking so I misread what you wrote. Thanks for the help. :)

Toky0 09-27-2003 10:18 PM

<a href="http://www.battle-grounds.net/test3/showpost.php?p=4&postcount=4" target="_blank">http://www.battle-grounds.net/test3/...=4&postcount=4</a>

This is what I get even after running the query. =/

Version 3.0 (for vB 3.0.0 beta7)
Insert into the "bbcode_quote" template in the Style Manager:

Code:

<table style="background-color:#EEEEEE; color:black; border:1px solid #BBBBBB" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="5">
<tr>
<td valign="top" bgcolor="#BBBBBB">
<div style="font-size:50px; font-weight:bold; font-family:Times New Roman, Times, serif; position:relative; top:-10px">?</div>
</td>
<td rowspan="2"><font style="font-size: 10px;">

<if condition="$username != ''">

<td rowspan="2" valign="bottom" bgcolor="#BBBBBB">
<div style="font-size:50px; font-weight:bold; font-family:Times New Roman, Times, serif; position:relative; top:25px">?</div>
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td height="25" valign="top" bgcolor="#BBBBBB"></td>

Dunno mate, I'm using this quote instead. Sorry, I've just registered tonight and not tried this one on v3.
