|
Hello
nice edit thanX |
well done Faranth:D:D
|
How would you show a default avatar for those users who don't have one but still only show any avatars if the user doesn't have the show avatars box checked in their user options?
|
i think i removed abit of code to get it working >.< ill take a look into making that option work, personally ive never used it :)

avatar.gif is ment to be replaced by whatever you want you can leave it as avatar.gif as long as you have an image called avatar.gif in your root forum directoyr
|
i forgot to ask, what template do we edit? it doesnt say
|
postbit or postbit_legacy
|
it worked, but there is a problem
http://www.macshrine.com/forums/show...=2233#post2233 if you look at my site there, the avatarrs are on top. i am using rc2 vb3 |
I get this error when I try to add this to the postbit template
The following error occurred when attempting to evaluate this template: Parse error: parse error, expecting `T_STRING' or `T_VARIABLE' or `T_NUM_STRING' in /home/ryanmcba/public_html/forums/includes/adminfunctions_template.php(2998) : eval()'d code on line 187 This is likely caused by a malformed conditional statement. It is highly recommended that you fix this error before continuing, but you may continue as-is if you wish. |
what version are you running?
|
I am using Vb3 Rc2
|
>.< weird.
i dont really have a ton of time trying to fix this. make sure you didnt overwrite any other conditions |

i am a coder, and im more than aware things change |
Work correctly on RC3
Great,thanks |
it doesn't show the default avatar with RC4. it's just as before
|
Hmm.. All these hacks fail to do what they say. ;)
Sure, they display a placeholder Avatar on the page the code is installed, but what about something that assigns an avatar to user accounts by default. I need something that starts all new user accounts with a specified default avatar. Has anyone seen that anywhere? edit: Brad had one in 2002... http://www.vbulletintemplates.com/mo...&threadid=1707 Guess I should investigate. |
Seems like this should already be part of vbulletin.
Nice work. |
