More visible borders, I mean. Your border color blends in with your background.

my monitor is only a year old. and personally i can tell shade differences very well. ^^ but the colors havent changed since 2.2.6 lol

I can see them well on my moniter (2 year old CTR, 24 inches), but I can see why they wouldent show up on older ones.
