bah it looks dumb having three login things on the home page.. 2 at top and one at the bottom.

Zachery 08-06-2003 03:26 PM

well, i have it too, and it doesnt bug me or any of my members :P

you could remove the login part from the welcome panel

MrNase 08-06-2003 03:56 PM

it's the navbar-Template i think...
I have to agree, this box is far too large :(
But hey, let's wait for die final templates :D

Zachery 08-06-2003 05:49 PM

it is the nav bar template, you might be better off tying your navbra template into the welcome panel,

imported_Hiall 08-06-2003 07:38 PM

i removed navbar from index and just have 1 login in my welcome panel.
it bugged me too

bahawolf 08-07-2003 04:15 PM

Going into header, and deleting $navbar is the easiet way.

iJason 08-07-2003 04:18 PM

Under <---Guest Welcome Panel---> or whatever it is, remove the following:
Quote:

<td class="alt2" valign="middle" nowrap="nowrap">
<center>
<form action="login.php" method="post" onsubmit="md5hash(vb_login_password,vb_login_md5pa ssword)">
<span class="smallfont">Login with username and password:</span><br />
<script type="text/javascript" src="clientscript/md5.js"></script>
<input type="hidden" name="vb_login_md5password" />
<input type="hidden" name="s" value="$session[sessionhash]" />
<input type="hidden" name="do" value="login" />
<input type="text" class="bginput" name="vb_login_username" size="7" />
<input type="password" class="bginput" name="vb_login_password" size="7" />
<input type="submit" class="button" value="Login!" />
<br /><span class="smallfont"><label for="cb_cookieuser"><input type="checkbox" name="cookieuser" value="1" id="cb_cookieuser" checked="checked" />Remember username/password?</label></span>
</form>
</center>
</td>

Okay I did what bahawolf said.. But how do I get the navbar back that was there before? I don't remember where I deleted it.. It wasn't in the header I don't think..

bahawolf 08-07-2003 05:38 PM

Ok, did you delete the content of the navbar template, or did you delete $navbar in FORUMHOME?

iJason 08-07-2003 05:39 PM

I didn't delete what was in navbar I thought it was template home.. $navbar is in there right under $header.. but it isnt showing up? Where else could it have been removed?

iJason 08-07-2003 05:46 PM

Weird.. navbar shows up on everypage but the home page.. and the navbar is in the forumhome template?

Go to the template 'FORUMHOME', not Header, and under $header - Place $navbar - This is what the first few lines for me look likes...

<!-- end no cache headers -->
<title>$vboptions[bbtitle] - powered by vBulletin</title>
$headinclude
</head>
<body>
$header
$navbar
