Speed - Not bad, takes a little longer to load because of the background.
Colors - Kind of plain, the images add the touch though.

its fine, abit bland, and i dunno how a mac interface is good for a polotical forum but it does look nice

If you are trying to make an OS X look, don't you need some brushed metal instead of the grey?

OSX didnt have the AQUA theme originally maybe hes goin for a beta style?
