Dunno name of this, or if its a hack

Uhh... well when someone posts a big image, it stretches out All of the next posts on the page, but on vb.org forum its only the one that the image is posted in, does anyone know how to get it like that??

Tony G 03-27-2003 03:27 AM

Another way is just to use post spacing, and it won't stretch out the others.

Brad 03-27-2003 03:35 AM

By default the postbit template has its own table, so the effect you want came shiped stock in vB 2.x.x.

Post spacing dose nothing but space the post. These are not ubb templates we are talking about here tony ;)

Tony G 03-27-2003 04:22 AM

Hmm? I thought it did. I didn't make any references to other template systems though, AL.

Brad 03-27-2003 05:47 AM

UBB sits all the posts in one table, thats what i thought you where refering to, cause you know as well as I that we both had to split the posts up back in the day ;).

Anyway, vB 2.x.x sits all the posts on their own tables stock, this is why they load one by one (if your connection is slow enof ;) ) Of course this can be modifiyed :).

Also, vB 3 puts a table around all the posts, thats why it 'feels' like a longer wait when loading threads on a vB 3 beta forum.

Keep in mind that the current vB 3 template set is not finished.

..to answer the question raised:

Stock vB's do this by default, you have modifyed your style/your pre made style has been modifyed. You will have to re code it to allow all posts to have their own table (postbit template).

Go to your Style set and click edit, find "Postbit Templates" then click edit for "Postbit"

Tony G 04-15-2003 12:41 AM

BlindChild, only one image is allowed per sig according to the new rules. Please remove some so there is one image only. Thank you. :)

imported_Blindchild02 04-15-2003 01:13 AM

can u answer my question?!?! _-_

Tony G 04-15-2003 02:31 AM

Why don't you ask at vB.org for what they did? I'm not too sure on the code.

BTW, you are still using 2 images. Only one is allowed according to the new rules.

imported_Blindchild02 04-15-2003 03:40 AM

jeese so strict... its a small *** button and a sig...

and i believe this is a template edit, thats why i came here since you all customize in template edits...

Tony G 04-15-2003 05:49 AM

Yes, but somebody would have given you an answer by now if it was known.

And I didn't make up the rules, but I've been told to enforce them.

They both link to the same Forum, no need for 2. Just follow the rules..
