[TIP] Signature Mod
 

I don't not take Credit for this. All Credit goes to WetWired from Zelaron ForumsThis is a good mod for Signature Control. And is just the most simplest thing to do so.

Description:
This will stop your members from having such a large signature. Instead of having your moderators keep a look out for large signature images this will do all that work for you and keep things nice and clean for your postbit.

Installation:
Log Into your Admin CP, and scroll down to "Templates
" Click on "Modify"
Then find the Style you would like to place this on and click "collapse groups"

Find "postbit_signature" Under "Postbit Templates"
And delete everything that is there and add this.

Well it totally cuts off the sigs that members are using. It just shortens them and basically cuts the images in half, thus leaving the sig looking weird. Thanks but no thanks :D

if there was a way to turn it into a thumbnail as sorts, so it is the specified size or smaller it would be great

If you have a signature rule at your site, then what you would do is set it in the code above. If there sig starts to get cut off then they where breaking your signauture rules. I dont have any problems at my site. When some decides to break a rule and put a huge sig on. It will only show what the rule is. As far as thumb nails, i dont belive that is possiable the signature area. But i could be wrong. I look into that now. ;)

Nice hack, but i basicly use an iframe with no borders and a scroll bar ONLY if the sig is over the limit.

I would post it here but it requires a few file hacks. Sorry :-/

Well... I am using mozilla 1.3.1 and... this image... IS 800x800 :)
Try making it for all browsers, not only for the worst one.
