why dsony otu put this in modified forums...then people will reply

Cypher720 01-07-2003 02:47 PM

thanks SD....anyways...its nothing but the ekko skin...well...thats what i though

then i clicked on forums and got the plain/ugly vB default skin

and what do you need a cool webmaster for?

SaintDog 01-07-2003 02:48 PM

Out of 10, I would give it a 5, basically because it is over computers. The missing 5 points are for orginality (i.e. pre-made skin). Had you developed your own or tried, I would award more.

Not that using pre-made skins are a bad thing, but I find it pointless to ask for a review on something that you did not actually make; just my 2 cents.

I am not jumping on you particularly, many do this, but I just find it pointless.

Cypher720 01-07-2003 03:02 PM

woops...i forgot to give it a ating

in that case, imma have to go with a 5 also, due to the lack of originality in the style.

also, you have a LOT of forums. I understand that you are computer forums, like overclockers.com, but you have about 20 forums it looks like:(

-Too many forums for 60 or so members.
-Default style on vB?
-Should maybe add your own touch to the pre-made skin if you can't make your own.

Acully no, you sould start with a small number of forums and expand out to more has your member base grows. otherwise you are going to end up with many dead and/or litte active forums.

Tony G 01-09-2003 09:46 PM

Also makes people feel they need to check every forum just to keep up with the postings and end up can't doing it.
