Halodex Now Open
 

After thinking things over, Halodex is now open. For that that have not talked to me on AIM, Halodex is a free e-mail service based on HiveMail.

All accounts come with a 5MB mailbox, although there is an option to upgrade for $5.00 to a 12MB mailbox with additional feaures (one time donation fee). The donations help to purchase additional domains for the multi-domain section of the website (i.e. to offer more than just an @halodex.com e-mail), maintain server fees, and to pay for the hivemail license ($180 + $35 per year for upgrades).

You do not have to make a donation to use the service, only if you want the added features and such.

For those interested in the added features, see the donations page. All donations can be sent to admin@viperhost.com should anyone want to upgrade right off.

Once the website develops further, the entire mail system will be skinned to match the website.

anywqays - sorry to burst your big SD bubble...but its not loading for me

it just keeps going and going and going and going....etc...eventually i will get a timeout

hicup in the network, happens every now and then for about 10-20 seconds, shoudl work fine now.

one thing i would suggest - CUSTOMIZE THE HIVESKIN!

cause its nce and all, but make it look lie your site:(...more attractive

1. I made the logo in Photoshop, it is not a font :).
2. Once I get the knack of the new template system, it will look like the website :).

heh cool Imma sign up :) I say once you start getting new domains you make an easy one to remember like @email.com :p (I'm sure thats taken but somthing like that lol)

The amount of domains available depends on the donations received from users. While I am sure we will not be getting e-mail.com or email.com, more domains will be brought on as time goes on.

Yes, although they would have to be transferred to GoDaddy. I can provide my details if needed to do a transfer.

I might buy a new one, needs a good name though in which I'm horrible at choosing.
