I never thought I'd see the day

...but I have two power supplies plugged in and running to try to find out why UT2k3 keeps crashing at the opening cutscene at the exact same spot all the time. 500 watts coursing through the cromptrar :D

Tony G 12-25-2002 06:50 AM

You'll blow up your electricity meter, be careful. :p

filburt1 12-25-2002 12:48 PM

Well I did end up fixing the problem (drivers needed to be WHQL certified) but I'm too lazy ATM to reconnect the power to the way it was before :p

Tony G 12-25-2002 09:45 PM

Do you have one of those surge protector things? Very good if you don't have a surge protector for the whole electric system there.

filburt1 12-25-2002 09:52 PM

Yeah I have a surge protector but everything's back to normal with the pooter now anyway :)

Tony G 12-25-2002 09:53 PM

Better to be safe then sure. ;)

filburt1 12-25-2002 09:55 PM

...anyway, thanks to December 25 the pooter now has a new MS Multimedia keyboard (the volume/mute/etc hotkeys rock) and an 80 GB firewire drive to expand my 20 GB in my desktop and 20 GB in my laptop. The laptop also got a scan convertor so I can watch videos and stuff on a TV :)

Tony G 12-25-2002 09:58 PM

You lucky ducky. Congrats on getting that stuff. :D

filburt1 12-25-2002 09:58 PM

I dunno, the pooter area sounds like an airport tarmac now with all the fans :D

Tony G 12-25-2002 09:59 PM

Heh, I like to keep my comp nice and quiet. ;)

Brad 12-25-2002 11:56 PM

Mine sounds like a jet taking off with all the fans. i got a new microsoft wireless intellimouse and a new guitar and amp

Tony G 12-25-2002 11:57 PM

Are those new wireless ones any good? Anything I have tried has little delays etc.

Brad 12-26-2002 12:02 AM

Mine is better then my old ball mouse, tho im keeping it around just incase. As for lag, ive got none. tho ive played with how my mouse updates is postion in windows to make it a bit faster.

Me too, personally I hate the MS wireless optical ones particurally because the batteries drain in a few weeks and the light blinks instead of dimming giving you a seizure if you decide to stare into it ;)

Brad 12-26-2002 12:16 AM

I think im getting a new keyboard to go with this mouse, god knows i need one.

And, i see no reason why anyone wouldent like this mouse i have, other then the batteries running low fast. Thats why i have a charger with lithum batteries

filburt1 12-26-2002 12:18 AM

You are no longer a slave to the Duracell corporation :)

Brad 12-26-2002 12:23 AM

**** right, screw paying for batteries. My d-cam eats them up wayyy to fast.

Tony G 12-26-2002 04:14 AM

Rechargable ones go fast too though, even though you can recharge you find yourself doing it often.

I use Energizer: Titanium. They last very long. I've at least been listening to my walkman for 24 hours altogether and not one bar on the battery is gone yet.

They are a tad expensive, but worth it.

**** batteries! :p

Strongest kind last time i looked, they take a long time to run out. Seeing how i have 8-10 in the charger at a time i never run out.

I have 1 gig left... on my 8 gig HD :(

Wanna lend me some uh, HD space? O_o

Tony G 12-26-2002 05:49 AM

Having those as rechargable is very good! I just have some ordinary batteries as rechargable but those run out quickly. The Titanium ones I have aren't rechargable though. I wish they were. :(

Tony G 12-26-2002 09:25 AM

Mines 12GB, think I still have 9GB and I have heaps of stuff on this.

filburt1 12-27-2002 08:36 PM

Okay, I now have a DVD-ROM drive, a new CD-RW drive to replace my slow 8x (new is 40x), a CD-ROM drive, and two zip drives (I never even use the one :D). I had to use one of those splitter cables to even get power to everything, LOL :D

Tony G 12-27-2002 09:41 PM

*Huggles Zip Drive* It's my saviour. :p

filburt1 12-27-2002 10:00 PM

Zip drives are pieces of crap in my experience, burners are kings. :)

It's fun when you turn on my computer now, all the lights on it (power, hdd, cds and zips) turn on :D

Tony G 12-27-2002 10:04 PM

I agree, but for a second backup zip drives do okay. :)
