I need help with my banner!!

Ok I made a banner 800 pixels wide, and when its viewed at a resolution of 800 x 600 on my comp it takes up the whole screen (Thats what I want), however when I move to a larder resolution the image shrinks. However, I noticed other sites that have images that take up the whole screen no matter what resolution your comp is set at. Can I get some help here?

Hmm, maybe because the image is split? Is yours all one image?

Yea, is what they do its they pixel nudge their image a little, then make another nudge html or something like that, and they plug it in. My friend (Blindchild02) did that on my board. So u might want to ask him.

thats easy,

<img src="IMGERURL" width="100%" height="HEIGHTOFIMAGE">

Beware that that will make it distort heavily and look absolutely horrible. But there's no real other way.

imported_SylEm 12-22-2002 05:31 PM

well if it's made at 800 pixels wide, it shouldn't distort too much should it??

it depends what res they view it at..

Any change will make it look horrible because IE doesn't antialias when resizing the image (Photoshop reference: IE is nearest neighbor instead of bicubic).

i don't understand can you show me screenshot plz

The one at KSF works well with any res. I'll check the code to see if any widths have been put into the code.
