not bad...llooks very nice actually
Very nice, like the layout & scheme.
I agree. The frames need to go, though...you could just make it a table-based layout :)
I don't like frames much either, another method should be used.
You should upgrade to 2.2.9 from 2.2.7 Security patches....
The important security fix between 2.2.7 - 2.2.9 has been posted at vB.com before vB went 2.2.9 so you can impliment that fix into your 2.2.7.
Better to upgrade, then patch. There are also changes to templates.
Yes I agree, depending if he has any hacks installed it should be easy to upgrade.
Thanks dudes (dudettes?)!
I don't know about those frames (normally i don't use them either), but i remember i had my reasons... Well most of the people on my site use the forum, but i wanted them to use & view the other sections in glance, without scrolling back. The 'browsing' on the forum works also faster, if you don't have to reload every image again and again... But a lot of problems will occur, when i want to incorperate the horizontal dhtml link scroller in the bottom frame to a non-frames based layout.... Arghh :-) Yes, its a 2.2.7 version, but i am scared **** to upgrade. I used many hacks for that forum... |
Well, you can compare files to upgrade without loosing hacks or try to do as much as you can template based (phpinclude?) because upgrading file-wise would be alot easier with no changes in the files.
I personally dislike frames, so 2 comments about your site. First, I notice no difference in image loading times using frames vs. no frames. Second, your fast reply, or quick reply box seems to stretch the table out to far to the right.
Other than that, very nice. |

To far to the right?
Hmmm i checked on Mozilla & Explorer 6, both seem to be alright. Could you post a screenshot? Here's what i see... |

I have to scroll left to right because of the way it stretches out too far. Here is a screen. IE and Mozilla, Mac version.
Amazing, i never would have known!
Thanks! Although its difficult debugging for me now. No, i won't ask you to make anymore screendumps :) Thanks! |
