[release] Ebay in Postbit and Profile with direct Link to members auctions

Hello Guys!

Well, what does this little modification do?

If your Users have Ebay-Accounts, they can go to "Edit Profile" and write there Names there.
The Names are displayed in there User-Profiles and also in the Postbit with a direct Link to there current auctions.
This is the basic Idea.

++ Addon ++

With the little Addon you can participate by every click on the users auctions.

Note: Only if your have a Advertising - Partnership with Ebay.

Install-Time: 5min
Backup your Files and VB.

Nice
I like to see a mini ebay logo for a button rather than a name.

Just out of curiosity, why would one backup their files if it's a template mod? :)

In case one screws up.

Anyway as with all custom profile fields beware that HTML can be inserted, so use such mods at your own risk.

@ Larry@IOG,
in Step6 just replace with:
Code:

<smallfont>Registered: $post[joindate]<br>
        Location: $post[field2]<br>
        Posts: $post[posts]<br>
Ebay:</smallfont> <a href="http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewSellersOtherItems&userid=$post[fieldID]" target="blank"><img src="yourimage.gif" border="0"></a>

(yourimage.gif = the ebaypic you want to apperar there). :)

Where'd the install file go?

filburt1 01-19-2003 12:53 AM

Apparently he deleted it in which case this thread shall be cast away to live forever in thread heaven unless it suddenly comes back.
