[release] Close/Stick on Reply
Author: filburt1
Description: Adds checkboxes on the reply form for closing and sticking the thread, provided the user is an administrator, supermoderator, or a moderator for that forum. Additional usergroups can manually be granted access as well. Demo: None yet Screenshot: Coming up. Requested here at vBT and the most complex phpinclude mod by me yet :) |
What a mod sees:
What a user sees if (1) they're not an admin/smod or (2) aren't the mod for that specific forum:

yeah I love it just what I was looking for :) now I got to get it put in my quick reply, I'll post my showthread_replybox later... EDIT: eh never mind its easy to add it there... |
lol great feature, something i really required for my forums at the moment, we just switched to a vB from a iBF and the mods are going crazy trying to close and sticky stuff
EDIT: one thing that "bugged" me about this was that the sticky button for replying was always set so it was already checked, how can i change it so it isn't |
It should be checked only if the thread is already sticky. That is, not touching the checkboxes shouldn't affect the thread.
So is it not working in that respect? |
umm I installed it but nothing changes...no new check boxes...
I just registered there, please bump me up to smod/admin so I can see what it should look like. :)
k I will when I can get on the internet for more than 5 seconds :p
OK DONE |
it would be nice if it was put in when you make a new thread.
I usually sticky when I start the thread more then when I reply. ;)
Hey, take it or leave it :p
It will be hard anyway because the query needs a threadid, and that threadid is made when you post a new thread. |

No, because as I said you have to know the threadid to stick a thread and the threadid isn't created when you want to stick it.
:( I still can't see any sticky...
I slept for 12 hours so I haven't had a chance to look but I will soon.
ok then :D
hmm I got it working on the Reply page but I can't seem to get it to work on my quick reply...
any ideas?
Try changing the check to see if the page is newreply.php or showthread.php
ah ok :)
it doesnt work and why is the sticky box always checked
thx much, just installed :)
Very nice, I'm adding it now.
