Anime-Loo, may I ask what program you use to get those different style effects? ie. the bar at the bottom? I have winXP...and am wondering, I want to change the effects, design etc. like that, just don't know a good program that has no bugs and does it for me :)

@n9ne - styleXP is a great proggie to get that done....or you can just download themes......but style XP is the way to go - you can customize your themes, login screens, and something else that i cant remember now;)


As for desktop pics, i have a lot of stuff going on! Its a big 19" monitor, so the res is high....i have style XP with the ChaNinja v3 style installed, which you will see in the start menu and the little vBT window (just to show you the style). I have LOTS of programs that i use all the time, which were very expensive;) As for the BG, i change it a lot, but this is one of my favorite renders:

Nice desktop, I like the Desktop button you have (My comp, CP etc.) where did you get those from?

im not using styleXP :p. I also have custom login/log out screens and have alot of little tweaks ive done myself via the registry (my internet explorer is renamed for example). Ive been doing stuff to my GUI scence the days of windows 95. :).

I need to develop those skills too, I don't do much unless it's via a program. :p

You just have to learn the ends and outs of it, for example i run this via the RUn box before i play quake 3 or other games that eat the resources "Rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks", that way i can kill all the idel task so the processer will but working on my game other then something running in the backround.

I just know basic stuff, it pulls me through for now. :)

I have the BEST boot screen....its the scene from the amtrix wheren NEO and the agent are in bullet time and right up in eachothers faces flying off the ground, with the bullets going by. Its made to look all cartoony (is that a word;)) and instead of the guys from the matrix, its Homer and Bart!

i love it!

On the loading screen i have the linux penguin with a rocket luancher from quake 3, in the "loading up" box it says "Hacking in".

On my Login screen i have Naru from Love Hina.

Beautiful, I shall get that skin when I get to Winamp3. :)
