|
I know its not a template mod Mist-Why do you think it says [temp] in the title? Temp=Temporary-My intention was that it was going to be somewhere else if this was in the wrong forum:)
Unless you didnt mean that sarcasticly ignore the above statement:) |

*doh* Im such an idiot  Thank you very much for that Lord Nite:)
|
Yep, that fixed it! Thanks Lord Nite.
|
Where is the template vbcode?
|
It's not a template. Look in your Admin Control Panel. It's a few items up from where your templates are in the navigation on the left. Look for a section called vB Code. That's where you make this change. :)
|
Well I have tried this with no luck...Used what u said word for word...Any help would be great...
Thanks |
What are you trying to do?
Check Lord Nite's posts for the update, ill edit it now:) |
Nice hack your what ever you'd like to classify this as.

|

TvNut; What doesnt work for you? |
Well I followed the direction to the letter and I do not get the word link it still shows up as a www...thanks
|
Hmm...It should work. I have tested it myself. Ill delete my vBcode, then follow my instructions, maybe I made a mistake
|
Well I am not the smart with these things but I tried all sorts of combinations...No Luck yet...can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?
vB Code tag www vB Code replacement [<a href="{option}">{param}</a>] vB Code example [www=www.address.com]Link[/www] vB Code explanation Simple code that makes the url look better Use {option} ? Yes |
Well it all looks right but be sure that when your posting the code shloud look like this:
[www=www.spankmaster.com]Link[/www] Not like this: [www]www.spankmaster.com[/www] Like other default codes. |
Yes, turdboy is right:)
|
[www=www.address.com]Link[/www] is replaced with [ Link] ([<a href="www.address.com"> Link</a>])
that is what it says for a main vb code description...still nothing... |

well my site is private but when posting a link do i have to type somehing special of do I just post the link like this...
http://www.vbulletintemplates.com/mo...4&pagenumber=3 |
You have to type something special which is this: [www=Url]Link[/www]
Replace URL with the link you want. |
Ok that works..my next question is there a way to make the vb do it automatically when someone posts a link?
|
If possible that would most likely involve editting the function.php file which we dont do here we only edit templates here.
|
Well I see but why would you want to type all that...If you have vb then u post a new reply and hit the http button above where you are typing and label it then put in ur url like this
go here for mor info but you cant use this in quick replys.... |
But you were correct...you have to change the functions.php it was just written and works great...whenever you copy and paste to a link it comes up bold red and says link...dont have to type anything b-4 or after...
very nice |
Thats the main reason why I use this code because I rarely ever go to the thread reply box instead of quick reply.
|
Very weird, it works for me.:( Ill keep trying
|
not working here either... pretty simple stuff... it's not like i'm entering anything in wrong, it's just a few lines... not like an indepth hack.
it's trying to send me to http://mydomain.com/www.link.com example: trying to create a link to google, it tries to send me to http://fulldvdreview.com/www.google.com i have a question too... why not just use the [url] feature instead? |
