SaintDog, many thanks for your bein helpful at vb.org for comments, I m still work on that after I m done with this forum display..

I know for sure that I have to edit the forumhome template to make "center" forum to left, I been spend hours on it and it refuse let me to move it to left?? I m not remme where I got this cool style and it provide forum display on right side, I decide to look thur and still not found how to put it to left or find any to change it to left.

Do anyone know how to do that? if so help me out? Maybe it is not forumhome template, perhaps it is something different but what is it?

DestyNova 07-23-2002 05:25 AM

thanks but which is? nopost, post and also level 1 or 2? I look thur and I didnt see any, what am I suppose to look for anyway? table? or ?

Many thanks for response

I don't have a link for your board, but typically you're looking for a table cell (<td>) that contains your forum cell information. You'll be looking to change the alignment of the cell from align="center" to align="left".

Yeah I didnt provide the link cuz it is not done and I want to change the looks that come from the style that I download it somewhere else.

If you want to check my board, I can give you the link thur PM or post/attach the template at here?

Ok, I m going to check that out. Many thanks =)

I dont have any luck with that problem. I try everything and couldnt move left forum to right forum and have different category to move left.

I found that it is not under forumhome_forumbit_level1_nopost and forumhome_forumbit_level2_post since I change and it doesnt work, perhaps I miss something or I aint that good at html as I think.

so pls help me? Mashby or Saintdog?

I attach three template that which (already) modify come in style that I download from somewhere..

it is

forumhome_forumbit_level1_nopost
forumhome_forumbit_level2_post
forumhome

in .zip, thanks

I m not kind of person who just want someone to "fix" for me, I rather to do it myself but now it is beyond me so I d like to get some help on it.

Many thanks

I did but it didnt change at all, there are two tables (left and right side but different size) I try to change large left table to right and get small right table to left. I couldnt, it puzzle me.

I need some clarification. Are you saying that you want to have the right column underneath the left column, or you just want to change their size?

Sorry for not being clear, yeah I want to move right "column" to left and also I want to move left "forum/column" to right but in same size (left column of forum in right side"

Am I making sense? hope so, sorry for my bad english since it is not my first lang.

thanks

I realize that my screenshot above is not clear and I undy why you puzzle by that.

I attach this "correct diagram" of screenshot here.

So everything would be in one central column, simliar to how it is done here on vBT. What is the URL of your web site?

DestyNova 07-25-2002 06:12 PM

No, it is not "everything" in one central column but check my new screenshot that I recent edit and attach for you to get the general picture that I want to move from left column/forum to right side and get right column back to left side. Just like a opposite mirror.

Also I PM you for my url that you request

mashby 07-25-2002 09:00 PM

Ahhhh, ok. That makes much more sense. I got your PM. I'll see what I can do.

DestyNova 07-25-2002 09:03 PM

^_^ thanks I appreciate it alots

Also sorry for these bad english =\

Whenever you or we fix it, lemme know what you want from me like credit you or ? lemme know.

mashby 07-25-2002 09:19 PM

Ok, now that I've been able to take a look at your site and at you're code, here's what I think you need to do.

1. Open your "forumhome" template and look for "$ loggedinusers" (without the space after the $). This is where your right column begins. Hopefully what you'll see is a series of those "$" elements.

2. Cut those elements and move them ABOVE the "<!-- main -->" element in that same template.

Hopefully that should do it. :)

Yeah you get right codes

ah that where right column is but unfortunately I follow your instruction copy codes between "loggedinusers" and <!-- /main --> then paste codes above <!-- main --> and result come out right column become top column above the "left column" forum.

Here s screenshot.

Also I PM you back

mashby 07-27-2002 12:14 PM

Hmmmm. Ok, I'll PM you with a fix.

DestyNova 07-27-2002 01:24 PM

wow you re the bestest

thanks!!

mashby 07-27-2002 10:00 PM
