Uninstalling Vb3 Arcade
 

How do you uninstall vb arcade? Such as what database tables need deleted or fixed? And how do you do that? Please help me out.

open the installer of v3arcade, and look for its database changes then remove those.

then change back what you've hacked the php files, I sugguest you do this first

Yo deathemperor just run the install file again and when it says *ADD* then followed by table name just go to phpadmin and remove those tables? Are their any good tables I got to worry about?

no no, ADD means modify the vb tables and add its customize, if you have MySQL knowledge then you should know what to do with it, just remove that column. for CREATE [table_name] you can just remove that table.

beware, backup your db first before making any changes.

Death can I just leave the db tables the way they are and just reupload the original .php files. I really dont know what you are talking about. Since your a coder can't you or someone make a uninstall script for it?

yes you can leave em in the database..should be the easiest way...

but: increasing database size ...maybe performance...
at the moment i´m thinking about to deinstall the vb3 arcade.

MojoNixon if you uninstall it will you PM me and tell me how you did or or give support over MSN or AIM? Could you do that? I think they need to make a uninstall script which would be a whole lot easier. Because you upload it and run it and your done.

Alright I deleted all of the folders and replaced all of the modded .php files to the original ones. I also deleted all of the tasks and phrases that was needed for the arcade in the admincp. Now my question is what tables need to be fixed? or delete? Does anyone know. Also does any programmer out their know if they could make a uninstall script to reverse the install script and just remove all the tables or what ever was changed in the install?

I'd advise putting the request in Service Requests and offering somebody a fugure of money to do it...or in Modification Requests.

no need to waste money for this. Follow my instructions carefully to remove the database:

tables that have to be removed (insert your table prefix if you have):

gamechallenges
gamenews
games
gamesessions

remove those rows:

in table 'datastore' remove the rows with title = arcadesettings and scoresettings

drop field 'arcadesettings' in table 'user' and 'arcadepermissions' in table 'usergroup'

that's all, remember to back up your dabatase before making any changes.

Why would you want to uninstall this anyways????

Don't feel like using it anymore and I got boring quickly. So I just want to get the tables out of the way for any possible security hole in vb3 since they dont support it anymore.

Leaving tables in your db does not create security holes, the worst it will do is waste a bit of space. If you are not sure what you are doing then just leave them alone, no harm will be done.
