Has any one installed a PHP.ini? If so is there a thread started?

Isn't it required by every php installation ?

Nope. php can run fine without php.ini

In linux it is located at
/etc/php.ini (generally) however this is nto always true

in windows its either in the php folder or in
%systemdir%/php.ini

I was told it was PHP.ini
This is what it says with an image of letter and #'s that are warped and some have lines through it.

I think you mean the image GD library installed? Since that features uses GD functions to create an image on the fly.

You can change the setting in the vb admin cp:
vBulletin Options -> Server Settings and Optomization Options -> Either do what it says there to find out your GD version or ask your host/server admin :)

We did add it to our site when registering it's the last thing you fill out before completing the registration.
I hope it keeps the bots away!!
